hey jig i haven't dropped in for awhile. You seem to be doing good with this. nice buds!
I got 45 SOG style mix of PPP, WW, and VK flowering at the moment, along with the three original mothers.
Been too busy to post or keep my journal going. Talk to ya soon!

Thanks guys. Really good to see you stop by lilmafia. Glad you like the results. I am jealous of your multi plant set up, that will be nice with those strains.

All of the plants have been cut down. I am trimming the last two bottoms now. I'm going to leave the water in overnight and clean out the closet tomorrow. Then planning mode begins full bore. I'm starting to worry by the time I move out there will be 4 or 5 holes in the roof above the closet. I'm going to have to think of the future when I plan this.

The first plant I cut last thursday was dry so I cut it up and jarred it. It only came out to 6 grams... oh well, I tried a bowl and man I enjoyed the effects. I can't wait for a bit of a cure.

I'll check in later... show you the drawings. Maybe start a new thread.

a new grow setup in the future jig? i'll be watching. bagseed betty gave me 51 grams of dry bud, and each day she taste better.

What a good girl that betty turned out to be. Some bagseeds are better than ohters. Nice stuff... I think I might end up with 51 grams of purple kush... hopefully a little more.

I got super lazy on the trimming for the final two bottom halves. They look like what most people would call trimmed.

I'll start planning today and get my thread going.

I am lazy and have not made a new thread yet... but here are pics to describe the idea.

In the first pic... there will be 4 of those white buckets... placed where the net pots are now. Then the fan will be sucking air from the bottom of the door, blowing though the lights rising up the middle... 250 on bottom, 400 on top.

I'm going to spread the lights out so I can have 5 foot tall plants... what do you think of that?

great idea :D should do a lot better like that ! only thing is i set one of them buckets up too see what it was like and i made the mistake of only buying 1, the best tip i can give u is to buy 5 if u only need 4 as changing the nuts and the water becomes an impossible task lol.

its a lot easier to fill up your spare bucket at the right ph and nutes etc then justlift your plant out of the one its in and swap it over, clean out the bucket thats used and repeat with the other 3.

well thats how i found easiest i mean u might already know a better way but i just thought id try help out :)

I recently went vertical and Im never going back. It just makes sense when growing indoors.

Oh and I see you have round buckets.... they don't quite maximize the full volume of a square closet do they? Check this site out

This site sells the square buckets I used in my grow for dirt cheap. I think they range from as low as 1/2 a gallon all the way up to 13 gallons. The dimensions are listed with each bucket. Also I would suggest getting as large of a reservoir as possible if you're going to try to get 5 foot tall plants. I would say that a rez around 5 gallons would be sufficient to get plants that big.

its the pvc union valve that i used in my buckets. i know they make them as large as 4 inches, but i dont know how you would incorporate the net pots into them. It'll take some fidgeting probably some hot glue ;-). Anyway thought that would help.

oh last thing... Remember to attach the screen to the bucket lid if you choose to ScrOG that way you can lift the plant, screen, and lid off the bucket all at once. Just a little reminder, its an easy thing to forget in the design process. Oh and the dude who said to get 5 buckets is on point. Thats something i learned but never thought to share.

Now... to make things clear... I got this whole idea from Smoote1987 ^^^^.

Really glad to see you stop by bro. I've missed you too. All good though, because you (like many other RIU'ers) are in each nug I have. Every bowl has a bit of you, roast, hulk, jesse, thor, mafia, tc, and a bit of neversummer, josh, djcrane, ray fox, and kevin mixed in for a good hybrid.

I'm working on getting you other guys in my next harvest.

See I just hook up the USB to love dispenser and drop that in the rez... gives the girls a nice shot of growth and I can always see the trichs plump with the boost of positivity. (ok so I don't really do that... but it happens anyways.... know what I'm saying)

Xc... help always welcome man. Thank you. I don't think about little things like changing nutes.... that's what got me in so much trouble on the first grow.

Tahoe, tomatofarmer... appreciate the support. This next grow is going to blow you away.

And yeah... This grow came a long way from the little blue cups and clear rez'.

DUDE!!! JIGS!!! your new set-up is awesome and brilliant! something like that would totally solve my problems with height limitations. looks like a really clean set-up too, really like it.

two other things...

thanks for the shout out... both for my journal and the group shout out. and just so everyone knows, my first grow turned out as well as it did b/c of jigfresh. he'll be a big part of every bowl i'll be smoking in a few weeks.

and as for your last batch of pics of buds... love it man. looks unbelievable. i really like that idea of a cardboard dry box. i may have to do that too!

btw, don't think i was ever subscribed to this thread... was wondering why your thread was so quiet.
