you also have to take in consideration how much weed you have and the laws where you live. if it was only a gram i still would of told him to fuck off just to be an asshole cause the worse that they can do where i live is give you a 100 dollar fine.

Um...yea...for all those people telling me not to let him search me and my car...suck it. They would have called a dog and found it for sure if I would have said no! I just cooperated with them and let them do what they want...I was being submissive with police officers...to save my ass. All I cared about was getting out of there without them calling dogs, ESPECIALLY after he already searched me and found nothing!
I've had the dog threat at least four times . . . . still waiting for the dog to show up:confused:

I never said be rude bro just be very firm and state your rights clearly.:hump:

The problem with idiots who allow the police to perform unlawful searches is that the rest of us end up being treated like idiots by the police too.

Is it too hard to stand up for your rights?

they told me cuz I cooperated they did not just take my plants and me despite the fact I was a med patient. Cuz the laws are always so iffy, lol. Plus, they were impressed that I have a job, am in school, was wearing a suit, and was very very some organ go bye bye kinda sick. So I agree with the guy that volunteered the pipe and the kid above and also that every encounter could prob go any way so he is lucky. Plus if sara palin was my teacher I would . . . that is just a nice pic of who and why we should all vote. :)

This is why pot is still illegal . . . too many people just roll over and let the police harass them EVEN when they are protected under MMJ laws!

There is a big difference between standing up for your rights and being uncooperative with the police.

This is a good video ANYONE who smokes pot should watch . . . what is 45 min of your time compared to jail?

I like how he threatened to bring the dogs a very common threat please don't be fooled or pressured by the police. :peace:

The cops say they will bring the dogs, but they don't want to be bothered with having to wait however long it may take the K9 unit to get there. Plus they can't really hold you unless they have a reason. Whenever the cops threaten me with the K9 (Just about every time I get pulled over) I ask them politely, "Am I free to go officer?" What can I do to help? I don't consent to any searches.

Remember, you don't even have to let them pat you down most of the time. Only when they feel you may be a threat. I don't think a tailgating stop is enough for the cop to pat you down.

all police want is for you to follow WHATEVER they say, and a happy cop might let things slide. be smart and every area has a differnt type of police. Austin= 420 friendly, Wilco= you WILL be searched and you WILL go to jail...those cops are sketchy- don't like em one bit!

BUMP 1 year old thread LOL! I remember this like it was yesterday...and I still stand by my actions. I have been pulled over again since this event with more and more bud on me, and each time I consented to searches. The cops STILL haven't found anything. Also, for all those saying "stand up for your rights..." and "people like this are the reason cops treat us like idiots..." You all need to observe a very important fact. I live in Texas...better yet...EL PASO, Texas. You DO NOT...i repeat DO NOT fuck around over here. Because of what's going on in Juarez, the police here crack down on marijuana and cocaine possession offenders more than anyone else. The only people who get treated worse over here are murderers and rapists. Just last night a CAMPUS PD officer...not even a REAL cop...was shot dead in his cruiser on the Northwest campus of El Paso Community College. I went there for about half a semester and dropped the one class I was taking so that I could go back to the university. Anyway, the point is that as long as I live in El Paso, or anywhere in Texas, I will ALWAYS consent to any police searches of my vehicle, unless of course I actually don't have anything on me.

That just means you haven't been caught YET. Why even put yourself in jeopardy. The only reason the cop (from the original post) wanted to search is because your were shaking like a kid with something illegal. When you don't allow them to search your car, you're not required to sit there and wait for a dog (even though they hardly ever call one). Just ask the officer if you're free to go. We have rights for a reason, if you get caught with something after a consent you're fucked 100%.

I don't think you really get what I was trying to communicate...if a cop wants to search my truck I have a better chance of him NOT finding what I have than if he were to bring a dog in. And yes they do call and wait for K-9 units here. Also, if I DON'T have anything on me I won't CONSENT to a search, nothing can happen even if a dog is brought in. Even if you don't consent to a search in this city they will at least have a dog walk around your vehicle. Oh and as for the shaking I will shake no matter what I'm doing...I just hate cops. The first time I got pulled over was before the first time I smoked pot and I was shaking...but until Texas becomes a medical state (never,) ill just have to deal with the cops here...
