Vitamin B1 based products (like Superthrive) have been scientifically proven to be completlely pointless and ineffective...stop wasting your money broI found that a "hungry", root bound plant during vegetative growth produces the best cuttings for rooting. 100% success in seven-ten days for me with rapid rooter, superthrive, powdered IBA 3 and rootech gel.

EDIT: And pH-ing water for cloning is funny...do you guys even know the reason you pH stuff?
First off, read the edit again, I didn't say anything about you setting the pH of your rockwool,I said pHing water for cloning so don't be so quick to get butt-hurt, the edit was to avoid a double post, nothing to do with your quote. The superthrive was given to me as a sample when I ordered some nutrients, so it cost me nothing and I may as well use it for something.
Regarding your second comment - I ph my rockwool because it's too alkaline.
For christ sakes it says right on the bloody package that you must soak with ph down or lemon juice to 5.5 before using. Maybe they just put that on the package for shits and giggles right?
Oh, and then there are the four different grow bibles that I own, which each state explicitly that you must ph down rockwool cubes before cloning.
So the question is, are you being facetious or are you are just trying to be a dick and start yet another fucking ph debate?
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everyone's input, but I think I'll take Cervantes', et al's word on the ph issue.
I just ph a 400ppm nutrient solution. No humidity dome, no stimulant. 100% success rate. 10 inch roots in 10 days.i need to work on my cloning in the clone machine. slow and tons of failed. i havent tried my straight up NAA alone so thats next. most have been with a gell or an organic rooting agent i have. i find it just washes the stuff off as soon as i turn it on so it does nothing for them.
what are guys suing for stimulant in their cloners?

Or you could just use tap water and moist soil...

Again tho, the pH of the water you use for cloning is irrelevant.
Water pH is what effects the availability of nutrients to the roots...cuttings don't have roots nor does one add ferts to the water. Thus pH is irrelevant![]()
Clone machines are pointless was what I was saying, all they need to survive and grow roots is moist soil and tap water.
