ooo, a fire pit, i'm so jealous.
we live in an area where we *can have fires, we just have to get a permit first.
yay my natalino broccoli seeds finally came in the mail!
and yes i love gettin the man to do the *work-work... famous last words from kitty: "and you're putting my water feature where, exactly?" (man:then
)
*my okra are dying*.... wth?
out of 6 that sprouted so far, 3 have bitten it completely, one is committing harakiri as we speak, one 'undecided', and one happy 4"-er that's gonna die of loneliness if more don't sprout soon..... i'm nursing them indoors, in a semi-sunny spot by the front door. pretty sure it's not too cold 'cuz they're right in front of (but not too close to) a heater, unless maybe the gusts from the door opening and closing are too cold for them (they're a more southern plant, right?).... there's a chance it's a light thing too, it's really not been that nice out.
anybody have any okra tips? i think i'm gonna try replanting some under domes this time.....
My family has always had a vegetable garden and my Dad says that okra likes it hot temperture wise. When the summers were really hot the okra did very well. Not much of a tip but that's the extent of what I know about growing okra.
I wish I had an outdoor garden to grow it in but its mostly clay around here and I don't feel like building a garden bed since I have to dig up the yard and plant new grass seeds out since the grass here now is mostly dead and I will have to lay in soil. I have been thinking maybe next year if I can get things ready I might do an out door solar DWC garden.i love mint. so rarely disappoints.
be mindful of the spot you pick if you decide to put it in the ground, lol - my mom's garden has a plot of peppermint she has to beat back every year, from a rogue plant i planted there when i was a preteen (i'm in my 30s now)... oops.
ummmm, are u gonna grow any fuckin weed???...lol

I love to dream big. If I had the proper house and land I would have a very nice indoor garden year round. If no DWC outdoors I will rig some thing up to do a outdoor couple to a few herb setup. The weather here can get very hot so it will be a big hit and miss for me doing it outdoors.now *that sounds ambitious as hell, +reps!
