I'd never done it before. This was mainly a test to see how last season's seeds sprouted. And bud I get is a bonus.Hi Sandhill, I did not know you could plant in the fall and winter.... the falls here wont reach 27f at all, but days get shorter....
I don't have a lot of cold where I'm at. But if you have a greenhouse that is above freezing, you can do it just about anywhere. The best thing is no one is looking for it in winter. I have a more traditional Spring Crop going on now. I had to cover everything up for two nights. Got down to 29F Thursday morning.
