Layoffs, Bankruptcy, and Closings

How quickly we forget who attacked who in Pearl Harbor when poor faceless children are involved.

You are missing the point - Japan had every right to "blame the United States" for the birth of deformed children - children who did not attack us at pearl harbor - long after the incident is finished.

DO Americans get to blame the Japanese for the unborn children who never came to be because the Japs killed their fathers first???????

We get the blame for the choice of target. We could have made our point hitting a military installation ONLY. In 1946 the United States Strategic Bombing Survey stated that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were chosen as targets because of their concentration of activities and population. The first bomb already had them crying uncle....second was really not needed.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were both targets and military installations

Did they surrender after the first one?

I was stationed at Camp Hansen for over a year, right next to Hiroshima.

I went TDY quite often to Okinawa...which is closer to Nagasaki...

I just say be careful of what you do in war because the same rules may be used on you.

We broke that long before Fat Man and Little Boy. Have you heard of Europe?
You really are as stupid as you sound. The Axis did not surrender. It came apart and none could surrender for the others. The Japs were on their own WITH the Germans sending all of THEIR nuclear capability, such as it was, to Japan by submarine to attempt to beat us that way. Pendejo.

You guys can call it whatever you want. I call it decisively winning and in effect ending a war.
40 years later Japanese would bow and say "thank you very much" any time they saw an American.
Should have done the same thing to Afghanistan as far as I am concerned. One of the biggest issues I had with the war was sending troops in instead of just making a parking lot out of the place.

Nothing to blow up in afghanistan

Nope, but we do for irradiating pregnant women. But still, the point is that there are times when someone is to blame long after 4 or even 8 years after an event or series of events.

Funny, I wasn't talking about surrender. I was talking about bombing civilian targets. Your misunderstanding the subject was, well, stupid.

Nagasaki was not a military installation..it was a sea port...again the first bomb already had showed USA power

In war, a port is a military asset. Fat Man also (accidentally) bullseyed the Mitsubishi works in that city ... definitely a military target. Industry and transport are recognized military targets. There's really no such thing as a "pure military target" except perhaps Naval vessels. cn

Sorry, but I LIVED in Japan. The Japanese actually take total responsibility for getting themselves bombed, talked about how they deserved it for all of the atrocities they committed.
