I don't want to jump the gun or anything, but I am pretty sure that I saw a very slight increase in bud size yesterday!!! It wasn't anything huge which is why I can't be 100% sure, but the buds just seemed thicker, primarily the buds that never had any leaves growing out their top, I have noticed seem to have swelled a bit! :) And yeah that sounds like a plan to me, I'll definitely be super cautious about increasing nutes though. I haven't even added back CaliMagic yet...I'm only going to give it if they NEED it, if they get by just fine without it I'll leave it out. After all, Floranova has a decent amount of Ca and Mg.

Dont be afraid to use Calcium. You'll need it in flower

Yeah if they start mottling or showing any symptoms I'll add it...but they've seemed just fine not having it, maybe they just haven't started consuming energy and nutes at 100% capacity, as they're definitely ramping up in nutrient uptake now.

Buds are definitely swelling again, nothing huge yet as they weren't the largest buds to start with but I feel like if they keep this pace up for about 2-3 weeks I should easily pull a pound per plant. Which isn't bad considering 4 weeks ago I was unsure Id get jack haha. Hope yours are going well too Stl!

So new pistils are showing up? A pound each?
Mine are doing ok. We'll see how it goes...
Glad to hear things are turning around for you!

I don't want to be too optimistic or anything but I think I might just be able to get an lb each. Idk yet tho really. I've had a couple of popcorn buds show up the past week or two, would removing one or two a day stress them out ya think? And yes definitely new white hairs popping up! :) And I really hope your crop comes through for you man! If mine have turned around then I have hope that yours can too!!

1 pound on a perfect plant is rare for most plants. Its almost a right of passage. I hope you're right. Just dont open a vein if you dont get 1 pound out of all your plants together. Heres a grow that did 17 oz. (Picture is last) And a 1 pound plant(first pics) about 1 month from finish and at the end.

You can pull buds and it wont hurt anything... might even help other buds to get bigger.

Aww thanks buddy. Mine are fine. One hasnt made any records coming back to life, no biggie. The 2 others are doing well. A lot of the damage will never get fixed unless I trim off the leaves. In the last HPS pic. you can see how the top started to grow again. Fuckin plants!

Yeah I think that maybe I'm focusing a little much on what the breeders say the plant yields as opposed to what they'll yield in an imperfect grow by an imperfect grower. But I will be excited if I pull even a quarter pound per plant at the moment, as I don't smoke a whole bunch and only take care of 3 or 4 patients. I'll take pics at lights on, they're still nothing special in bud size, but you can tell they're finally thickening up! At least a dozen moderate to large colas per plant, so I think there is definitely some potential for a good harvest.

Woah that is one nice carpet of colas you got going in that 3rd pic! And yeah I see what ya mean, damaged leaves can be an eye sore for sure but I'd leave them just in case something happens, they'll have some leaves to cannabilize. But I'm glad yours got back on track, despite the other one you said not bouncing back so well, with any luck your other plants will help compensate for the loss!

Oh and I forgot to ask ya, do you remember where you got your King Tut seeds from? Definitely going to order me some as I'm restocking on seeds soon, going to buy some Amherst Sour Diesel, Strawberry Sour Diesel, and the King Tut strain! Maybe a Super Silver Haze as well, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a big ol' sativa yet lol. The Strawberry SD and Amherst SD are supposed to be real easy and decent grow time or I probably wouldn't even get them since they're sativa dom's.

I hope you dont think I'm throwing stones at your yield. I'm so happy you got back on track. It's easy to get frustrated, I hope I didnt add to that. You've done very well considering what you had to go through. Good job

King Tut is a plant from the breeder Pyramid in Spain

I'd say most of my buds have doubled in overall size in the past 7-12 days, I just finished checking two of them under the microscope and to my surprise I'm seeing a whole bunch of milky white and a handful of clears. There is an amber here and there, but they're almost entirely on the very top of the older buds. Do you think they're nearing the end of their rope, or should they continue to swell in bud size ya think?

And no I don't feel that way at all man, shit if it wasn't for yours and a couple others advice I wouldn't even be seeing the yield that I am!!!!

Now you will need to decide what percentage you want the amber trichs to end up. If you are still seeing buds grow, then maybe give them more time. I dont usually go over 10 or 15 percent amber. Over a period of time the bud starts to degrade. Some like the stonier affect of more amber. Others like a cleaner buzz and flush the second they see an amber. I'm kinda of that school. In RDWC a flush is usually just a couple days. So I guess it's up to you to figure out when to pull em.

Yeah I usually try to harvest at a similar ratio as well. Even with mostly milkies, I'm still seeing a whole lot of perky white hairs which makes me think they still have some swelling to do. I certainly don't want to pull them before they're done swelling in size. A couple of the taller colas do have their hairs starting to receed, perhaps I will need to do two harvests? One for the tallest, most mature buds, and a second harvest a week or two later? Have you ever done this? And if I do then I sure will buddy, next grow I'll do a much better job getting light to penetrate!

I would look at both the trichomes and pistils. The trichomes should be the driver though. I've only done 2 harvests to darken up the stuff inside that's never seen light. One plant in particular was coated with sticky, larfy budlets, which was all that was left from a thick SCROG. I made the larf into oil. I cant say that it anything but turn the larf darker green.

Ive heard good things about stretching out a harvest, maybe it would work for you. I think your grow makes an excellent candidate.

This was an great learning experience, for a couple people, myself included. You brought em back bro!

You have lots of time to go man, let them ride. The nitrogen toxicity held you back a long ways..
Yeah without a doubt! I kind of felt like this as well with soooo many unreceded white pistols on all but literally 3 or 4 buds. I'll continue to watch the buds, but as long as I don't start getting a buncha ambers popping up I'll definitely let them go! I want them to go longer for bigger buds anyways :)

I am trying to decide if I did the two part harvest if I'd flush a day or two, harvest top buds, then back to nutes for a week or two. I botched my canopy density up badly, so many leaves jam packed in clogging up space and light. And yeah well I don't know if I could've brought them back without asking you guys ten questions a day! Lol it has been an extremely informative grow though I've learnt so much these past few months!
