Led grow lights newbie

Check out the first couple videos in my sig, I give the bars a little attention in there. I have them on a mover, and I've bumped my head on them a couple times. They're pretty solid, I trust them. I'd use a chip holder for anyone else's setup, but I'm comfortable with my soldering to rely on it (I've built enough circuits to be able to solder two wires :joint: ) in my own space. But, if you want lenses or reflectors (my future builds will have them), that's not a big deal either. I have mine affixed with klapton tape and a good thermal paste, unless they're getting weird pressure on them (they were, until I found the source and fixed the cables), they should be fine for years. :weed:

Actually, this is my first run with these COB lamps. My first run was with the Kessils only, with plants that were only partially vegged by me, in 5s. They were clones cut that my friend let get unruly with neglect. Not the finest starting point. This run, I got them in solo cups and trained them myself all the way up. The difference is staggering. I pulled about 1.5oz per plant on the last run, but I made a lot of mistakes, such as waaaayyyyyyyy too much nitrogen (didn't cut my teas enough, topdressed with compost, didn't distribute my Super Soil correctly). I've added 280W of 3000K LED and proper training, these things are way way more impressive. It's not even close, to be honest. Lightyears ahead of the first run, and I can still do even better with what I've currently got. I left the light too close in veg and when I moved them into the flower room, I robbed myself of a bit of canopy filling by keeping the lights so low before the flip. I'm a little crowded in there, and I probably could have used a bit more potassium silicate in veg to get some thicker stems. I only used Azos and water in veg this time. Next time, I'm going to experiment with a couple more nutrients, but I burned my stuff while I was still in veg last time and was making sure I didn't do it again.
