I don't even know what your saying. Im a cob owner. I most likely have more cobs then most of the people talking down on me. The difference you and @CobKits, (who is acting like a fucking idiot) get all fucking but hurt when i say I like HPS better. All of the sudden i don't have peoples best interest because i think HPS is the best out. Sorry dude, I always listen to when you talk, about nutes about lights. But when i talk my view I'm wrong or don't want people progressing.Sorry @a mongo frog , but humanity isn't going to stop progressing just to make you feel equal. That's not how things work. I can't understand why you take improvement so personally.

You could diy 750w of quantum boards for around $1kI have a 4x4 tent that is 6 ft tall. I have a 1000w HPS in there and yield about 2 lbs.
Which LED light will give me the same yield and quality?
Also, is 6ft high enough or should I upgrade my tent to a 8ft?
My budget is $1,000.
Should I go DIY or buy a commercial one?
coulnt care less about that. my only point isget all fucking but hurt when i say I like HPS better.
I'm pretty sure he has grows with the old chilled lights that did really well new ones will work betterGrowmau5 wont be getting any 1.5 gpw with that ChilLed Tech garbage. Never seen a pcb with 4 groups of lights: 2w, B, R, 1w on one end and 2w, R, B, 1w, on the other end. But if one were to have a change in sequence from one end to the other AND no connectors it would seem to only make sense to send a wiring diagram to your diy customers. Bonus: you can take it with you to go swimming....if you have no game you can divert the crowds attention by throwing your LED light into a tank of water.
This is what i prefer. 6 plants 10 gallon pots 32 day veg, huge yields, fire og. Again this is just what i like and what I do. I would not advise any one to put the 750 watts of cobs i have and try to replace this set up. Diald in room of course. Ive been at this a super long time.I'm even more curious now.
You honestly get better results watt for watt under HPS? You're sure it doesn't have anything to do with a properly dialed in environment for each light?
I'm genuinely interested in your observations.
32 day veg from seed or clones? This is what i prefer. 6 plants 10 gallon pots 32 day veg, huge yields, fire og. Again this is just what i like and what I do. Clone.32 day veg from seed or clones?
Cost mainly. The QB's are what, 70 bucks or so? Strips are under 50 with free shipping over $100 bucks. Each strip is equivalent to a 288 QB. What you save on the boards pays for drivers. Also the strips increase the spread, making the distribution more even. Not knocking the QB's at all, I just see the strips as being more economical and I like the spread better.Hehe! I know how the OP feels. Oldskool, like me
But I have been doing a bit of reading and I think I'm getting the hang of this . . .
So three strips and 200-250w per heatsink, each with their own driver. Can I ask, is there any reason you wouldn't recommend, say, six QB288/304s, two per heatsink, with their own drivers at up to 280w (or whatever) to do the same job?
.
In no particular order;This is what i prefer. 6 plants 10 gallon pots 32 day veg, huge yields, fire og. Again this is just what i like and what I do. If i told you the Truth, you'd think i was a bitch made pussy ass bitch.In no particular order;
First, that's a DE lamp, so the LED equivalent will be a bit higher.
Second, how did the quality come out?
Third, how many runs under the LED? Did you run the room warmer than under the HPS?
Fourth, what was the difference in yield?
Do you have any pics?
I know you're a good grower. I'm just trying to get a handle on both sides of this debate.
Each 3 strip light will run at about 200-250W depending on how you power it. So 600-750W total. Should yield in excess of 150K lumens.Man, all this LED spec talk is way over my head.
Would it be a super pain in the ass for you to list every piece I need along with a direct link to where I can purchase?
Also, what is the wattage of this set up you're telling me?
I can handle the truth. PM me if you don't want to talk here.If i told you the Truth, you'd think i was a bitch made pussy ass bitch.

They can be liquid cooled too I thinkWell, god-damn.
Those things run so hot they need ducted cooling?
Your view (or my view) doesn't matter when it comes to quantifiable metrics.I don't even know what your saying. Im a cob owner.
