i don't know about you lucky, but i am lovin the led's for flowering. i just wish i had one to hover over each bud.
Maybe you could just install some shelfs inside your grow cab instead? Just a thought. The one thing I am going to try to do on my next grow is mount my light in such a way that the height can be adjusted instead of at a fixed location (mounted to ceiling of cab) This might help and it might not, we shall see. These guys look pretty ready right now and I am having a hard time sticking to my 10 week schedule. Hopefully they will explode at the end and it will be worth the extra week. I am just keeping track to see when I want to harvest the NEXT grow, so it isn't all about this one
stay tuned!
how long does it take to root when cloning during flower? i heard its harder to clone during flower becasue it stresses the plant when you put it under 18/6..In preparation of harvest I took a few clones tonight. I also changed my veg nutes and added a little bit of koolbloom to get it kicked in gear. Next Saturday is the big day! Cut and hang the cabinet and move the veg'ers over to the cab (after a good cleaning).
Just thought I would share with people my cloning method. I have had 100% success rate doing it this way
Things you will need:
-Cloning gel (Clone-x)
-cotton swabs
-scissors
-tweezers
-rockwool cubes
-propogation dome and tray
-heating pad
-spray bottle
Soak rockwool in water the night before you take cuttings
First thing is pull the cotton off of the end of the swab for each cutting. One swab will do two cuttings. Seperate the cotton so that it is loosened and about the size of a dime of so when flat. Take the tweezers and dip the cotton in the cloning gel. I then make sure to manipulate the cotton so that it is covered in gel. Next take your rockwool out of the water and set it on the tray. Select the section you want to use as your cutting (3-6" of any tip of a mature plant) with the scissors, cut a 45 deg. angle in the stem. Quickly cover the tip of the cutting with the cotton/gel. Wrap the tip completely! The idea is that the cotton is going to keep the gel in contact to your cutting end. Now place the cutting into the rockwool and press the rockwool up around the stem to keep it secure when standing. Cut the outer tips of the fan leaves from the cutting. This helps the cutting to focus on root production. Place new clone onto the tray. Mist interior of dome with water and cover tray. Place tray on top of heating pad on low. I actually have my heat pad on a timer, because it cut off after a certain period of time. I run the pad once every hour. Keep spraying inside the dome to keep the humidity up and in about 2 weeks you will have some strong roots to your new clones!
I wish I had pics from tonight, but I was working alone and my gf couldn't help me with the pics and since this isn't a "cloning thread" I figured I would get a pass
Hope this will help some of you!
oh i think i must of misread then, i thought you were taking clones from the girls u were gonna chop..I have never tried cloning a plant that has been flowering. I wouldn't advise it unless it was an emergency to save the strain or something.
CHOP CHOP TOMORROW!!!!
No prob! I have a veg area as well. I will be posting pics of the ladies that will be going IN the cab after I cut tomorrow!oh i think i must of misread then, i thought you were taking clones from the girls u were gonna chop..
I get plenty rewarded for all that I do! lolI bet your girl is excited LOL you get rewarded for this?
Did Bic sponsor your grow?Ok, so I am getting ready to start flushing tomorrow. I cut some small leaves from off of the buds and did the first trichome check. They are almost all milky with about 5% amber. Cameo has reDICUlous amount of trichs on her!
I don't have any pics that show the trichs, but I do have some to show scale:

As you can see in some of the pics, I have used bamboo stakes to prop up some of the shoots that are getting weighed down from too much weight!
Well the electricity just depends on Watts used. Watts are watts, but the heat is for sure low. I actually depend on what little heat it does put off to raise the cab temp.wow crazy, iv never really looked at any LED Grows before, as im a CFL Guy Personaly, but damn they look like they do a good job, and also i bet the LED's burn hardly no Electric? and put out No Heat?? Am i Right?? coz that would be such a +Plus in my eyes.....
+Rep for this amazin shit!!!
HARVEST DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know your excited
ahhhhhh. the anticipation is building. i yall get it all cut up, hung to dry, and then she talks you in to drying just a little more because she can't wait to smoke some more. then as chainseeker put it. get rewarded for all the hard work.Yeah! I gotta wait a couple more hours til my girl gets home to start, it's killing me!! Lol! She wants to be a part of the trimming, so I am cool with waiting.
