I totally dig the luxx 645 though, not ragging on it all, over all the luxx 645 has the best light spectrum out there. It was made specifically to grow high grade cannabis and by bad ass growers themselves. A lot of cannabis growing research went into the luxx 645.

Hello,,, New Member and firmly in the HLG Camp. I have two 100 V2 4000k. Start all seedlings out on one and at two weeks bring the other on and use them until late veg. Late veg into flower I would then pull them and put my old HLG 260 kit light on the job in my 3x3 tent. And having enjoyed many great grows with this setup. I got to thinking.... I need to upgrade to at least Rspec. Jumped on the HLG site to order the boards. Then I thought give them a call. I called them and before I knew it they were sending me two new Rspec boards a driver and hardware kit, Just asked me to send my old components back to them,, thus a free upgrade,,, right on! So I ask if they have a discount code and I will go ahead and order a new Rspec 260 kit. While a single 260 did a great job on it's own in the 3x3 tent. In classic American thinking more has to be gooder! LMAO, A couple of bowls and cheap wine later a piece of 1/8" aluminum plate to attack the lights together has to be good and that would make a perfect mounting spot for a UVA-30. Stoned and drunk thinking at it's best! And so it went. Really looking forward to flowering my current grow on the new flowering light setup. Maybe even doing some Co2 enrichment. Haven't used Co2 in many years,,, Well since the monster HPS and MH days of old.

Just got my new Magnolia. It's a very impressive light and I'm looking forward to some great results with it. I'm going to use it on my next grow instead of my Fatty and see how it goes.
As usual from Timber, the build quality is outstanding. The heat management system is pretty simple but should be highly effective in dispersing heat evenly and preventing drivers and boards from overheating. The boards are mounted to heavy duty extruded aluminum plates that have added ribbing on the backside to better absorb heat. Those are then mounted to aluminum rails to further absorb heat. So, the whole frame is basically a heat sink. Given the efficiency of the boards and the heat management, the light generated should approach that of a Fatty.
Another aspect of these lights is the fact that Timber worked with Samsung to produce these boards. They were designed by Samsung for cultivation. The far-red diodes are Samsung too and are top bin diodes. There's no diode quality roulette with these boards. No counterfeits or B quality diodes.
Having individual drivers for each board is great failsafe insurance should a driver crap out. The fixture will continue to run on the remaining drivers.
Overall, while I'm biased, these lights can compete with anything on the market. The price, build quality and board integrity are second to none. In my view, Timber has just set the bar pretty high for board-based lighting fixtures.

Grow Light Science is having a 'up to 25% off' sale. I order the Progrow 320 and unboxed it today. It was shipped in a plain brown box. The light's build looks & feels like high quality. The driver sat between two of the LED bars during shipment. I think the driver might have moved during shipment, because two of the green plastic parts of two light bars got boogered up a bit. Grow Light Science is sending me a replacement light due to the gouged plastic. The driver has heatsink like fins on it's sides and that is what I believe gouged the plastic. The driver was covered by a foam sheet during shipment but the fins cut thru the sheet.

UPDATE
I started a test grow with this light utilizing some old auto CBD/THC seeds I had in storage. Goals for the grow are to get a sense of light to plant working distances and determining any idiosyncrasies the light may have.

These photos are at the end of week three from sprouting. Noticed a little nitrogen deficiency with the CBD Crew Med Gom. So, I hit it today with a small dose of Recharge. I find that stuff lives up to its name.
I started out at 350 watts at 24 inches. I've upped the wattage by 50 watts per week and now about 21 inches from the light. Co2 averages around 1200 ppm. Flowering should start within the next week at which time I'm going to bump up the light output to 600 watts.
Just as an aside, I purchased these seeds in late 2017. They have been stored in cool dry area. I'll be interested to see what kind of production I get from them. I'm intentionally minimizing nutrients to see how the 365 BioBloom performs. My expectation is that I will exceed the breeder's specified suggested yield. I may do some LST to help with that. Will update at the end of week six. Start to finish, this grow should take no longer than 10 weeks.

Are we starting to see the leveling off or over saturation of LED grow lights? California Light Works and HLG have both announced across the board reductions on several lights. Yes, both companies were priced on the higher side. So, maybe an adjustment was inevitable. Foreign LED's may be putting pressure on prices too. In any event, it seems like good news for growers.

I think it is about time I swapped out Luminus CXM22 Gen3 3500K 80 CRI on my diy lights...they probably have 4 or 5 k hours on them. what is a good replacement for them?

Dont ask, "whats the best light out there", ask "whats the best light for MY purpose"

LEDs have worked for me so far, on my very small grow. Understand, though LEDs have worked for me so far, HIDs seem to have better penetration, intensity, and are cheaper. Also, know that most LED configurations dont provide all the spectrums you need; its best to supplement with something else. And they are only cost effective for small personal grows. If you tried to do a large grow you would spend a small fortune!

But, i like what ive seen so far. and the technology will only improve from here.

I compare the LED backlash to the L4 backlash a few years back. When i first got a 4 cylinder car, all the V8 people laughed, and said economy cars suck ass. its not as fast, true, but its the RIGHT VEHICLE FOR MY PURPOSE. People say its not the best car, but it works, and cheaply, so its the best car for me. Those V8 people stopped laughing when gas hit 4 bucks a gallon. HID users will come around eventually. remember the first 4 cylinders to hit the market? They sucked! Now there are some bad ass cars that are gas sipping L4s! Give it time, have faith.
