wait, wait..... did they give you a time frame for when it might be released? and any details?
I just looked at their site and there is mention of something new in 2011.

If you email them, they'll send you a newsletter.

I think it will be the same lights, but in cool white and warm white and a mix of both.

aahh i see,

well it sounds cool but i think im just gonna get a purple 150 for the entire grow for 2 plants.

maybe invest in a magenta later on.

You'll do fine with the purple, you just might get denser buds with the magenta. But your vegging will go slightly better.

i hate to drag this on but im curious...

How much more will the purple light increase veg growth?

Is it worth the loss of bud?

Go to Kessil.com and compare the graphs.

I felt, with the magenta, you gained more in the red, than you sacrificed in the blue,

so that's why I went with it. I can supplement vegging with several options, if necessary.

I wanted the most bang during flowering. without going totally red.

I'm not convinced they're junk, just yet. Maybe eventually, but I'm seeing phenomenal plant response under my bi-color induction lamp. Good to know about the heat sesitivity, but I can manage that. I'm using smaller ones, 50w and less, just as supplemental lighting. I put a 50w in a pendant fixture in my entryway and all the plants there are going wild over it.[/Q

Well time will tell for you. The internal electrode induction lamps I tried all 3 burnt out from the bases being up and the heat frying the electronics inside the base. The external induction fixtures don't let any heat get any on the drivers so they're pretty rugged and better built for the hours we put on them. If you want to save the screw in style ones though I'd recommend keeping the heat off the bases.

That's good advice, thanks. Where did you buy your bulbs? What brand were they? Was your warranty honored?

I have a question about the Haight Solid State 300W model, and I'm really not trying to be a dick I really need to know if the Plants can touch these LED panels? For Supplemental lighting or lower canopy illumination, can the plant matter touch these panels without burn like the other LED panels out there? Not just on the underside where the LED's are, I'm wodering if the pant matter can touch the heat sink? The pictures of the model on the site say that it gets HOT, I need to know if this means you can't get touch them or get them a little most when you spray to follier feed. Also the material used for thermal conductivity seems to look like Aluminum, is this true? :peace:

I think it might be ok, its ok for all the LED lights i know of. Tho they probably get hotter than normal LED lights with fans. But why would you want to let it touch your plants? it cuts down on the area the LED can effectively light. also i dont suggest spraying them especially with that price tag. just my thoughts

I forgot to mention: I talked to a Kessil rep and he said they were coming out with white grow lights soon.
THats pretty badass. Ive been looking for the last week now for some hi output (10-15w) LED bulbs @ 2700k just to pick up a little bit of the other spectrums that led growers miss out on. Im gonna use em as supp lighting in the corners of my tent. i got a new setup and i dont know if the flowers in the corners are gonna get all they deserve.... ty for the info.

!!!! WHAT OMG THE FIRST QUESTION ABOUT NON GROWL RELATED PRODUCT!! Someone please give the man an answer lol. Honestly crimble i wouldnt let any LED touch the plant I've noticed with a few different kinds that my friends have had and now the blackstar that i have that if i get closer than say 10-12 inches the leaves start to take on a wierd texture and they get wavy looking, i think the light becomes too intense at that point. Keep in mind lighthouse blackstar claims you can let the light touch, you cant. Now it wouldnt burn the leaves the way a cfl or hps would if you let them touch it is still much cooler so you wont get burns from heat just intensity.

Sup Dudes,

I'm still making little observations on my LED vs HiD grow. has anyone else notices that the pistils closest to the LED seem to be erect? I definitely have this phenomena happening. The buds around and just under the HiD are kinda limp dickin it. But the pistils on the LED side look ready to rock!!

Oh and by the way the side of the plant which started flowering on HiD is larger in mass that the LED side. You can see it in the pics in my grow. I'll start another thread outlining my findings...

:peace:
Pure...
yeah HPS side is going to be bigger its been documented already there is a loss in yield when using LED although slight. Its also hard to compare them though because theres really no deffinitive ratio of LED watts to HPS watts so you can say for example a 300w LED is = to a 1000wHPS. Theres nothing like that out there right now, but if you did figure out say how many watts it takes from an LED panel to = the yeild you get off of a 1000w hps in identical situations it would be pretty sick. I would say that my 240w Blackstar panel is = to a little more than 400w of hps. My friend uses 1000w hps with LED for veg he did a comparison and lost 20% yield with LED but gained in quality. The trichs were larger and taller off the bud and the plants looked happier under them. I cant remember what brand LED they were but he was using 1 300w panel in comparison with 1 1000w hps. He payed 1500 bucks for it like 3 years ago. Hes using hps now but considering going LED again or Induction because the prices on things have come down since he was last playing with them.

Im pretty sure i will be happy with the flashlight when i get it (ive taken to calling kessil h150's the flashlight lol) I've got a 2x2 table to run it on in comparison with the blackstar panel. The only thing different about the tables is the the size my other one is 2x3 which is the blackstars footprint. Im using the same nutrients so i will get a good idea of which light is capable of producing more herb per sq inch. Looking forward to starting up this test in the next month or so. I've got the ones under the blackstar flowering already. Just filled the other table for a short veg under CFL until january when i pick up teh flashlight.

I always wondered if the bleaching would affect quality or not... hmmmm.... I know it stunts the plant because of the no green = no grow in the simplest terms lol

Again I ask:

Does anyone in this thread have any experience with growledhydro.com lights? I have read amazing journals on other websites but haven't found much of anything about them on this website.
