Since a lot of new LED household lights are popping up, why doesn't somebody make a panel that's like 3x4 bulb fixtures? You could run 4x bulbs to seed/veg, add 4 more during stretch, and add the final 4 for flower? You could use the panel with CFL's, LED's, or a combo of both.

Pic showing how to double the number of bulbs using cheap splitters. I have another 3 bulb vanity fixture, for a possible 12 bulb set up; should I fill in with 9w/CREEs we're looking at ~ 120- 140w, which should be ample for the 2 clones.

Got an interesting smoke update
my Unknown Sat v BrandX WoodyHaze X WW
A friend confirmed that my Unknown Sat made his woman extremely horny and uninhibited.
He came for some more. WHXWW was cured so I gave him some to test/compare. The WH is cerebral- they talked until 3am
This confirmed my personal WH X WW findings. Toothpick size is too much
Due to plant on left (LED tent) growing taller, bigger + having roots, compared to twin clone, I decided to swap positions, placing the lessor clone under the Utilitech 22w WW. It's color is a bit more neutral than the Philips 17w WW

Welcome. Check out my other thread too. It is rockin, and super easy to build & tweak. 2 days ago I increased feed time from ~ 20 seconds to ~ 45seconds (couldn't do this until I had ~8g of nutes at the ready), and the clones soon were reaching high toward the lights. Yesterday, I cut back to ~ 26 seconds, by day's end the leafs were back to horizontal. Obviously, I went back to the increased feed cycle this morning
FranJan Another great thing about the COB is the flat surface (no globe). The ~3" that the globe takes up is important in my 6ft tent, but the globes are good for side lighting

LOL, hmmm, depending on how you meant that, you may not be too happy with what I was planning for the next grow: BrandX G13xWW.
However, I am open to grow anything from BrandXs available stock, so let me know.
I want
1. a good yielder that I can function on
2. < 5ft, due to tent height constraints in my 2 v 4 LED tent: HOT5 (8 bulb/~432w) although this 2 x 4 tent is about to get a 2 ft height increase, so ~ 6ft plant is ok.
3. Oh, and no couch lock weed for longer than a good sci-fi flick on my 55' Plasma

What's good for plants doesn't necessarily translate to the big screen. I actually took an LED tv back- the < $500 versions all seem to suffer from shadow color stability, and motion tiling AND most LED TVs are actually a combination of LCD + LED. The LED portion is either edge lit, or back lit

Damn, so the CREES ain't all that when it comes to lumens AND the light is much stronger on the side, so not good as an overhead. No wonder the clones weren't doing much
I just replaced them with 2 Utilitech 7w WW sans globe. I'll get a better pic tomorrow or Friday, but you can see the tips of them in theuppeer middle of the pic

So U-tech is a house brand, right? So who's LEDs are they using to make their bulbs, or better yet, what model are they? I ask cause I like to know who makes what that works and why 
. And wouldn't it be sweet to figure out a mod for the CREE bulb to improve it's use for our needs? A partial breakdown to reposition the LEDs would be great and the bulbs do come apart pretty easy. The only thing I come up with is to do a little cutting of the circuit, and then you would have to add additional cooling, and do a little soldering, but no LED dismounting/mounting. You could cut the ring into two or three parts and rewire it but cooling it becomes a problem. But mods like that are bit beyond me. Maybe someone will figure out something, but I'm not holding my breath. Plus something better is just around the corner. Peace PF
