Uh, dude WTF are you talking about?????
I was talking about ME fucking up typing --- not you!!!!!!!!

Damn, are we a little sensitive there??????

I WAS going to comment about how I like your set up and offer a few suggestions, but I kept fucking up the spelling and just deleted it all and typed what I did.

Grow up and grow some thicker skin dude!!

And BTW, you DO need a higher cfm fan in the worst way, but otherwise you look good-to-go:bigjoint:
sorry man when i read that i had been up for awhile workin on the room. I jus read it wrong. took it the complete wrong way. i jus reread it and understood. That was a dooshbag move but trust me man im not that kind of person.

But back to the room. I have the 435 cfm inline fan ordered. and im about to start germinating my seeds. But of course new things have arose as they always do. So i hve a few questions:

1. How many plants for my area? (6'W,2.5'D,8'H)im thinking 6-8 with 4-6 wk veg.

2. I am low on funds and i dont want to cooltube unless i have to. Will using the 435 cfm inline for exhaust (with carbon filter) be enough to cool room?

3. If so any suggestions on passive intake that will block out light allowing air? i was thinking dryer vent cover with flaps, maybe 2 cuz most are 3"

4. I have heard that foxfarm's ocean forest is hot and acidic and could possiblely burn seedlings. I have heard of cutting it with light warrior. Should i not add worm castings since the soil is already hot? Any suggestions? (i already plan to add some oyster shells for sure. a few egg shells, and crab shells if i can find some.)

Lol. No problem dude!! We all have those days from time to time!!

I'm growing in an area pretty much identical (size-wise) to yours. Mine is 7' wide by 2.5' deep by 9' tall (fully mylar lined), and I'm running a single 600 watt digital HPS lamp. Purely a soil grower (I don't go full-organic, but I'm probably 90% so). Depending on how bushy you let your plants get, you should have no problem with 4 or 5 plants at a time in that area. I grow 4 at a time which gives them plenty of room to branch out and for LST'ing.
A 435 cfm fan should be plenty --- it's more than I run in an equivalent area and I've never had temperature issues. The dryer vent covers thing is an EXCELLENT idea!!! (+rep for that one!!) I may do the same thing!
As for soil, I use FF OF mixed 2 parts OF to 1 part perlite and 1 part worm castings. I don't use ANY nutes during vegging (I like 'em to veg 8 weeks if possible). OF apparently is a bit "hot", but I start plants out in jiffy plugs in a propagation chamber for the first few weeks, so they are easily able to handle the OF by the time I plant them in pots.

It looks like you have it goin' on there!!! Good luck with the grow. I'll subscribe because i really want to see how the Lemon Skunk does in an environment that is so similar to what I am using.

1. I think 4-6 sounds good. I would probably do 6-8, depending on how much training you give them
2. Not sure, I think you may be ok if you have a fan blowing directly on the bulb as well.( small oscilating fan) Exhaust at the top(hot air)
3. I would use standard ducting for the passive intake. I have tried making flaps and shit, but the ducting has always been the cleanest.
4. I like what greenjeans said. I am all for perlite and EWC. Wouldn't worry about cutting it with light warrior if funds are low. Start low on your nutes when you do. I feed through veg, then when they flower you can hit them hard with nutes....

Thanks so much to greenjeans and wonderblunder you guys are really helping me out a lot + rep for both of you. Green jeans that is sweet that we have practically the same setup with lights, size, design and soil. i think i mite start in a chamber with the pellets as well. Wonderblunder, how would you apply the ducted passive intake you are talking about to my setup? i dont quite unederstand a little more explanation would be great. and i do plan to have a fan blowing directly on the light.

Just add a few feet of duct on either side of the vent. YOu know the shiny stuff, fairly light proof. Put it on the inside of the box is you are worried about looks from the outside. A couple bends in the duct and the light should be eliminated.

4" or 6". How big is the 435 CFM fan? When it comes to venitlation, I do lots of trial and error. Do it, seal it up. Check the temps. Adjust.

I don't have a vented reflector for my light. What I did was run 4" flex-duct from approximately 2 inches below the ceiling down to the floor. I have an inline fan pulling the hot air from the top of the closet and blowing it out under the house (I had to cu a 4" hole in the floor, but I just pulled back the carpet in that corner so I can flip it down and cover up the hole if/when I need to. This little set up completely eliminates odor problems (so far) and heat hasn't been an issue. I also have a 10" oscillating fan blowing directly across my light, so that helps with the heat, plus it keeps the air circulating which promotes stronger stems. With th 4" duct, you have to secure it to the wall in a place or 2 but that was easy to do with wiring hangers and zip-ties.

That sounds solid greenjeans..... I like it. Smell is becoming a problem in my world. I bought some Closet Deoderizers from the dollar store that worked great, but smell more like those things in Urinals. My wife did not approve.. So Carbon filter it is...... someday......

This is the fourth day the seeds have been it peat pellets and the havnt sprouted yet. i germed them and they all cracked i put them in the pellets shortly after they showed tap root to avoid root damage when putting in pellets. they were put approx 1/2 inch deep. is this normal for them to take this long to sprout? they are in progation chamber with plently of disstilled water. under 24 hour on flouroscent.

hey guys it is day 8 with germed seeds in peat pellets. Still nothing has sprouted i have kept the temp in room between 77-80 degrees. Should i have the light on or off? the other day i poked around a little bit to see what was going on. The seeds were at approx. the same depth i planted them to start. I could see the seed casing intact with a white tap root growing down out of it, i thought this meant they were healthy and alive so i covered them back up with soil. this was weveral days ago. shouldn't the tap root growing downward push the seed toward the surface and allow the first leaves to show? i have heard it can take up to 11 days to sprout but im getting worried. Any advise please i have 75 bucks invested in these seeds and more in room setup? please guys anything.
