I bought a 60-100x microscope from radio shack, but I'm struggling to get it to "work".
It uses 2 AA batteries for the bulb. I've tried it with the light, without, etc...
Whatever i do, whatever focus/zoom setting i use, all i see are white or black blobs!
How far away should I be with one of these things?!
Can I use it to see the trichs and stuff, and if so, how far away should I be?

You should cut the leaf you plan on inspecting, place it on a flat, solid surface and place the microscope directly on top of it, also against the surface.I bought a 60-100x microscope from radio shack, but I'm struggling to get it to "work".

You use the bud leaves that have trichs on them.

Another small update..not much change in the main plants, they just keep getting nicer and nicer-looking.
Wonder how much longer to flower em, been about... 8 weeks now, so they should be almost done, especially since they're small/stunted from the light/crowding issues I had before
On the other hand, my lampshade-plant is doing great! Gave it some of the Flower nutes, seemed to go along really nicely

I feel like were in the same boat. I cant figure out when to start to flush. Nice little project you got going. i am assuming it was a clone? If not damn its growing good. I had some good times playing Age of Empires 2. I wasnt all that great but it was fun.
its actually from a seed, i just stuck a couple seeds into rockwool and see if they'd germinate
This was the one that did, and now it's exploding!

Still same old same old...I've started water-only topoffs for the main plants now, probably end up going with a all-water rez in a couple days
lampshade doin great!
I think i might have to flower it soon though, simply due to its size...thoughts?
