No shit, hence the fact that when they say they want "small government", they're lying. They don't want "small government", they want to use the government to control what other people do with their bodies, who they're allowed to marry and what bathroom they're allowed to use. If they actually believed in "small government", they wouldn't have cops kicking people that make them feel uncomfortable out of bathrooms

Is that a lesbian or a transgender? Why don't they just use the unisex bathrooms? Kind of seems like that's how they view life. I'm not bashing anyone's lifestyle tho but if that person has a dick they are a dude.
They let a girl into a rehab I was in because she was a guy on the inside.. It was a all male program, I know plenty of people in that program that would have lied and said they thought they were girls so they could get into all girl programs.
Females need there own bathrooms, it doesn't matter if someone has a mental illness

Just like the law said, whatever gender is written on their birth record is what they are when choosing a restroom.
I don't care what they 'think' they are, you have a penis, you use the mens room.
I could 'think' I'm the queen of England and demand a police escort when I shop at Walmart but that shit's not gonna happen.
Maybe we need to build a third restroom and call it Hodgepodge.

Human sexuality is ingrained in our chromosomes, females are XX, males are XY. Sometimes the brain is XX (female) but the person still has male genitalia. Sometimes the brain is XY (male) but the person still has female genitalia. You and these anti-LGBT laws are attempting to enforce (small government) that people who look like this;
Use the female restroom, and people who look like this;
Use the male restroom because they make you feel uncomfortable..
So in other words, you're trying to use the government to make people who look and feel like one gender use the restroom of the gender that's on their birth certificate to ensure that transgendered people don't assault or harass women in bathrooms, even though those allegations are completely, 100% fabricated and there are already laws that prevent that from happening, regardless of sexual identity or orientation..
You're trying to use the federal government to actively discriminate against a group of people to prevent an imaginary problem that doesn't exist from happening because said group of people make you feel uncomfortable when you tinkle..
Like I said before, support this nonsense all you want, you no longer get to make the claim that you support a "small government". So I hope this fight was worth that loss.

I just think that people should be able to use the bathroom of their own choice in accordance with the gender they identify as. Why should a person who identifies as female be forced, by law, to use the male bathroom? Why should a person who identifies as male be forced to use the female bathroom? Don't you think people should be able to choose for themselves which bathroom they want to use without government interference? Do we really need cops patrolling bathrooms to enforce this?

If it was a lesbian then that's a shame but it's clear as day why they wanted to see some id. The person looked and talked like a male. If she had her ID which you are supposed to have on you anyways she could have proved them wrong

The law is there to protect against rape. While your crowd may be all about skipping in flowers. Your neighbor or the guy sitting near you on the bus could be a rapist, who now has access to the ladies room because he can just say he identifies as a female, even if he truly doesn't. So if you go far enough to have to surgery I'm not so against it, obviously at that point they truly feel that way.

There are already laws in every state that prevent harassment, what does a new law that says people have to use the bathroom that corresponds with the gender on their birth certificate do to prevent that? If a guy dresses up as a woman and uses a female restroom to harass women, he'll be arrested
