Let Me Hear From A Responsible Smoker

Maybe in time you'll understand.
There are alot of people out there that smoke and can't even hold a job.
Out of all the people I've met and know that smoke I would say only a
handfull of them I would consider to be someone that's not a deadbeat.
Some of the deadbeats I know are the nicest people in the world, but
they just don't give a shit about excelling in life. Plus, these deadbeats that I know, most of them will admit that they are.
Then I know alot of people who used to smoke but no longer do because
of their job.

I would really like to see marijuana smoking someday become of way of
life legally.
But it would be really damn hard to make that happen if alot of people
associate weed smoking with people who are lazy ass deadbeats who
can't even hold a job.
We need to change this......

People who know me, find it really hard to believe that I smoke. Some people say to me I don't look or act like a typical smoker.
When people find out that I smoke, they feel differently about smoking weed after talking and hanging out with me.
It'll take a long time. But we need more people like myself to spread the
reputation that marijuana smoking deserves.
Smoking weed delivers so many benefits, it's a shame that alot of people
characterize smoking weed like this.
in time maybe you will grow a pair of balls.

IMHO this thought process is the reason why its not decriminalized. you have all these responsible people who are hiding in there garage smoking there hits, then dont have the balls to stand up for something they do themselves. then you have the non smoker who hears the bullshit people like dude spouts, and they believe we are all dirt bags because a smoker said so.

if every person no matter who you are was to stand up and be honest with themselves and everybody else then maybe the idiots out there who dont understand would shut up, or maybe toke up. hopefully legally some day. but with this attitude and cowardliness i dont think that will every happen.

I'm currently about to enter the 3rd best school of medicine in my country, I've also been able to keep a 3.8 gpa throughout high school, all this while smoking having a social life, and taking care of 2 special little girls that bring me presents every 2 and a half months.

Just keep your schedule in check and have a watch with you at all times hehe, minutes can turn into hours really quick.
a non pot smoker would have been accepted into the 1st best school.

right isn't that what i am getting from these people?

A non pot smoker would not have thought about how his proffesion could help save peoples lives, or might not even have considered to include the necesities of other people into they're profession.
I'm just trying to prove my point, wich is that you can live a great, active, life and excel in anything you want, even while smoking once or twice in a while.
People try to pin actions to subtances or things, when they should all realize that it's all really up to you.

And I can tell you right now, I will never stop shooming, long live la ghanja

thats right, fuckin tell 'em about it..lol.. plus rep if I can for that shit

I don't want to offend you (but probably will), but I get a very self-righteous vibe from this post. Like the business man who drinks three bottles of wine at night, but looks down on the homeless bloke with the bottle of muscat in his hand.

I also have no desire to 'excell' in life...well, at least probably not in the sense that you mean. My idea of a successful life (for want of a better word) is to treat others the way I would expect to be treated, make as minimal an impact on the planet as possible, and to respect other peoples' choices in their lives.

In my (sometimes not so humble) opinion, one excellent way to help 'The Cause' would be to join an organisation such as NORML and to start campaigning for cannabis law reform. Hey, maybe you could encourage your friends to join as well. The war against the drug war will be won by a lot of little people joining together to create a large, influencial force that government must listen to.

Cannabis law reform is not hindered by a perception that 'no-hopers', 'deadbeats', or 'losers' are the only people that smoke. It is hindered by archaic drug scheduling that puts cannabis in the same category as heroin.
That same category makes it next to impossible to carry out serious research into the medicinal benefits of cannabis for humans. If there were not so many restrictions placed upon scientists working with cannabis, we would most likely have seen much more convincing evidence of its medicinal value and most likely some serious reform to current laws.

is there such thing as a responsible toker?!?! come on your just justifying your habit same as a recreational drinker would. dont get me wrong i could justify anything to myself. my gf was totally against drugs and me doing any of them, then i explained to her that as with most backward laws its your view of it that matters, i dont view weed as illegal though it obviously is. its only as society is mass fed this image of dope fiends being mentally unstable mj psychosis cases ready to rob your gran for a fix....
