This is the one that I usually carry thats 400 watts. Comes with 2 sets of bulbs 4 veg 4 bloom. Right at or under $200 with shipping costs. so for under $400 you can have 800 watts of T5 with 2 sets of bulbs 8 veg and 8 bloom. i prefer to mix and match. They basically can be snapped together or dasiy chained..I havent sold any of the satellite HO/TT-5 with the 105 bulbs as i usually direct people to this one as its about a 3rd the cost

Fixture Hangs by Bail!
Features: It's Powerful Output Gives MORE GROWTH!
It's a really cheap way to start healthy, abundant plants with high intensity light. It‘s even powerful enough to be used for full scale production! But it runs very cool, so you can intensify light output by putting the light right on top of the plants.
Mirror-Like reflector enhances output for even MORE GROWTH!
The bright lighting grade anodized aluminum reflectors work just like mirrors to squeeze every lumen of light from the bulbs. Our unique concentrating reflector is head and shoulders above competitive T5 designs.
This is not a Toy Grow Light
It Replaces a 400 w Metal Halide
This unit's four bulbs make 20,000 Initial lumens. Unlike metal halide lamps, T5 fluorescents maintain their initial light very well. At the mean life, this fixtures output is still 18,720 lms. A regular 400 watt Metal halide lamp is only making 23,400 lms. However, this fixture’s mirror like reflectors enhance light utilization. Four lamp T5 fixture like this are in fact commonly used to replace 400 watt metal halide fixtures in Factories.
And you can intensify light levels further because you can place this fixture closer to the plants w/o burning them.
Low Power Bill saves your CASH$$ Since it only uses 234 watts, you'll hardly even notice it on your power bill!
It pays for itself!
Could you use $362? That’s how much money you could expect to save by using this fixture instead of a 400 watt metal halide. This is calculated over the life of just one metal halide bulb ($362 = $.08/Kwhr x 20 khrs bulb life x [400 bulb watts + 60 ballast watts - 234 T5 fixture watts] )
46.5 inch Size For Tight Spaces This fixture was developed due to the many requests we've had for fixtures just under 4 feet long. Just like wooden 2 by 4’s are not really 2”x4”, shelves are often less than 4’ long. So regular “4 foot” fixtures won’t fit! What a kick in the head!
This short F54T5 is an exclusive fixture! Competitor’s T5 fixtures are usually 48.25 inches long. (You see, they use the same fixture housing for their T5 fixtures as they do with the longer lamped T8 fixtures)
Eight bulbs included: Growth and Blooming Sets!
This fixture includes 2 sets of 4 bulbs each for you to apply the optimum light spectrum. You get 8 bulbs total. The fixture uses 4 at a time.
You can start your plants under Daylight (6500K) bulbs. These have high blue light content that prevents the stem elongation that makes plants spindly. By activating the pigment crypto chrome , blue light induces prolific, yet compact vegetative growth.
When your plants are ready, induce blooming with the red rich warm white T5 tubes. These produce the extra energy plants need!
Now you can have it all and be in control. Choose the most advantageous spectrum for your plants!
Plus you’ll have plenty of extra bulbs to use once the bulbs finally do burn out.
CHEAP Replacement Bulbs Save your CASH$$ Replacement bulbs are only $5 and are a standard size. Once you buy a fixture from us, we don’t rip you off with over priced replacement bulbs. During our years in business, we have always been really fair. So you will be able to get inexpensive spares from us now or later.
Commercial Grade Electronic Ballast for Reliable Operation!
People often complain that the shop lights they buy in stores don't last. They don't like starting in damp or cool basements either. Such shop lights are often bulb eating machines too. Often they use cheap one transistor ballasts that destroy the bulbs due to poor current control. On the other hand, our preheat electronic ballast ensures full bulb life and the ballast’s manufacturer warrantees the ballast for 5 years!
Maximum Bulb Life with Program Start Ballast. Save Cash on Bulbs!
We use the programmed starting to enhance lamp life. The most common and cheapest way to start fluorescent bulbs is to short the pins of the bulb ends together and impress 600 volts across the tube to cold start it. It is well known in the industry this cold starting is absolutely devastating to bulb life. After all, these T5 bulbs have two pins on each end for a reason. If they were intended to be started with the two pins shorted together, then a T5 bulb would just have one pin on each end, not two.
Our electronic ballast gently preheats the filaments at the ends of the tubes. It then soft starts the lamp using a reduced voltage, about 300 volts.
Quality Workmanship, Easy to Use.
We offer the reflectors from bright mirror-like, lighting grade anodized aluminum. The back of the fixture has two chain bails to hang fixture by. It also includes standard 120 volt- 3 prong plug in. (The cord actually comes out the end rather than the side as our picture shows. This fixture may have the option of having the cord come out the top of the fixture - Please email for information on this.)
We offer the Deepest, Narrow Reflector for Maximum Punch.
Our T5 fixture is designed for plants, not for factories. Therefore our T5 fixture deliver much higher usable light levels than competitive T5 fixtures. Plants need very high light levels to grow. And our concentrating light reflector is just what you need.
You see, most T5 fixtures you see were actually designed to light warehouses. It takes a lot of money to make the tooling to produce any light fixture. So the cheapest thing to do is take a warehouse light and market it as a grow light. Unfortunately, these warehouse lights are designed to light large areas to very low light levels. With plants, your goal is just the opposite. It’s ideal to light small areas to extremely high light levels.
There are four problems with competitive “warehouse type” reflector. First, the competitor’s reflectors are very shallow--- only about 1.25 inches. As a consequence, light is broadcast over very large areas. Light leaves the fixture at very shallow angles away from horizontal. Much of this light is simply wasted because it flies over the tops of the plants and hits the walls.
On the other hand, our reflectors are nearly twice as high. So they form an actual “hood” over your plants that captures wasted “high angle” light and deflects it down to your plants.
The second problem with the competition’s T5 fixtures is that the lamps are spaced far apart to spread light out.. So even if you have the light hung low ,the outer lamps spill light outside the starting tray or your pots.
Our fixture centralizes the lamps together for maximum punch. If you do need to spread light out, you can simply raise the mounting height of our fixture.
A third problem with competitive T5 fixtures is they trap light. Their bulbs are too close to the reflector. Light from the lower part of the bulb bounces straight down and then straight back at the bulb. This causes the light to be trapped between the bulb and the reflector.
On the other hand, our fixtures incorporate an innovative steel strap that offsets the bulb above the reflector. There is plenty of space underneath our bulbs to let the light out.
The last problem with competitive fixtures is the decorative shroud they use. It traps light by boxing in the ends and sides of the fixture.
Our design eliminates this bulky exterior box.
Make the Entire Plant Work! This fixture makes an outstanding side light! Plants are made to use all of their leaves! The intensity of natural sunlight is pretty much constant on both the upper and lower leaves.
If your plants are tall, a single grow light can only illuminate the upper canopy. By the time light reaches the lower leaves, it’s too dim! (Light from a near point source like HPS or metal halide drops off according to an “inverse square law”. This means that the light level goes down by 75% if the light bulb is twice as far away from the plants.
That’s where side lighting comes in! By spreading lights all around the plant, just like it is in nature, you can fully utilize all leaves. Your plants can reach their full potential!
You could Save a lot of money if you could grow plants in the DARK
When I first went into Business, the best advice I ever got was it’s easy to sell as long as you are in business to help people. We seek to serve you in part by divulging all sorts of good accurate information.
There is much confusion and misinformation spread about how much light different sources generate. It makes no sense at all to use many of the grow lights being sold. They produce less light with more energy using expensive bulbs that don’t last as long.
That’s why if you are looking for a fluorescent grow light, you should be looking at 4’ T5 or T8 fixtures driven with high output ballasts. Here is a good comparison table:
Fixture Wattage Initial Lumens
Our 4 lamp T5 (Above) 234 20,000
Our 4 lamp T8 High Output 158 14,640
Our 3 lamp T8 High Output 116 10,980
150 watt compact fluorescent 150 9,200
65 watt fluorex 65+ 4,100
Phony 2 lamp T8 shop light 35? 2,850
Normal Output 2 lamp T8 62 5,016
What you may find interesting is that the same bulb will make different amounts of light in different fixtures. It all depends upon the ballast used. We specialize in high output fixtures using high output ballasts. Quite a few guy’s hyping their own fixtures don’t know the difference and tell you their fixtures are high output too. Many of the common electronic fluorescents make exactly 50% of the rated output of the bulb. As one of our distributors who bought one to try said : “I only put one light bulb in it, because if you put in two, they will only run at half power.”
Come to Us for the True High Outputs!
People say they are blown away with the brightness of our high output fixtures as they are compared side by side with competing normal output designs. Our customer’s really like our lights because they are so amazingly bright! Based on word of mouth reference, we have shipped lights all over the country.
Our competitors often see our lights and start saying that their ordinary output fixtures that they are selling are really high output too. What a dirty trick! It has happened over and over again. I feel sorry when I meet people that feel they have been cheated. A good part of our business is making rebuild kits to upgrade lights that are too dim.
When is 5 minus 3 more than 2?
If you are looking at a fixture with only a 3 year ballast warranty, it’s sure to be an inferior import! That’s why we use 5 year warranty ballasts from US manufacturers. Here in the United State, the standard industry warranty is 5 years. US standards are simply higher.
When electronic ballasts became popular in 1992, they were junk. I remember them literally burning out as fast as you could put them in. The joke was that these new ballasts don’t even last as long as the tubes. But US companies learned their lesson. The new designs have been thoroughly debugged.
So having been burned so many times, I am pretty skeptical of when new, foreign companies come along offering electronic ballasts or fixtures. I certainly don’t want to fly to Zongshan Zhejiang or Jing Jong to file a warranty claim either.
Now it’s not that Red China can’t make good ballasts. They can. But the 2 or 3 year warranty ballasts I’ve seen have always been second class-- they simply don’t last when run 12 or more hours per day, day after day. They are best suited for intermittent, residential use. A guy only occasionally turning on a garage light is not likely to burn the ballast out within the warranty period. If you use these shop lights as grow lights on constantly, they just don’t hold up!
WE OFFER A SUPERIOR OPTICAL SYSTEM
Offset Bulb Holders.
You will note that our fixtures have a special second generation bulb holders that space the bulbs far above the reflector. This helps prevent light from being trapped between the bulbs and the reflector. Light can bounce off the back of the bulb without getting being largely reabsorbed.
Ordinary T5 fixtures have the T5 bulbs laid right tight against the reflectors as shown in the photo. Their bulb holders are super short! These short bulb holders are intended for uses where the fixture needs to be made as tiny as possible with out regard to optical efficiency.
Deeper is better!
Our reflector is 2.25 inches deep. The problem with most reflectors is that they are too shallow. By recessing the bulbs, light is intercepted by our high tech mirror reflector and directed downward.
Gentle, Correct Slopes on Deep Reflector
Our Fixture features wide wings with gentle slopes to reflect light down. Our reflector is based upon a time tested from the early 90's. It's designed to maximize light levels.
This is different than sharply sloped wings on a shop type reflector. Mirror like materials can be dangerous to use. If reflectors are not properly designed, a mirror like materials might scatter light away from plants rather than aim it down where needed.
We were absolutely flabbergasted when we first read the photometric reports on this reflector shape. This shape actually has higher utilization coefficients than the more scientific looking pseudo parabolic type reflectors that are commonly used with T5 bulbs.
All in all, this is a great high efficiency reflector.
