You see em dancing on the top of your still nice looking colas thinking maybe I got em before they snacked, nope. Find the damage cut/clean it out.

You see damage but you don't see the caterpillar, keep looking he's still around somewhere eating more of your chit.

Caterpillars are hungry little fucks and shit everywhere. Maybe “ bud washing “ ( internet DIY ) may be able to clean the buds further. However any dark , blackish areas of buds should not be consumed .

Nothing worse than High As Fuck Caterpillars with the “ munchies “.

I mean I always find a couple caterpillars when I wet trim the buds before hanging up, I still smoke it dont judge, I do grow strictly outdoors so you cant really avoid all of them.
They absolutely can be avoided. Last 3 years all my outdoor plants have come out clean of pests including caterpillars.

and do a bud wash.
Right on, best if you did I've read BT can take as long as 45 days to break down. I may yet use some more on my own but I'm trying not to my worm problems have been surprisingly few this year. Best of luck. fwiw next year my own plan is to begin the worm offensive before I even plant because I read if you put enough other bacteria in the ground and then replenish it every so often, the plant starts taking it up from the get-go. BT and fungicide for the bud rot, makes it hard for the bud rot to get started when other bacteria is already colonized. The rot often comes right behind where the worm goes. You can also buy mantis egg casings and hatch mantises they will help a lot. That's one reason my problems are fewer, had one in my plants and he was a busy boy too.
