Letting go of nearly every friend I have

I keep very few friends anymore. Lost my best friend to Jesus, he thumps a good bible I hear now. A few people fell off when I lost my good paying job last year. Another got spooked when people got popped and hasnt been home in a few years. That dude is #1 in my book. After I lost my job I opened up my mailbox to find a $500 money order from him. I never asked, never complained about money, I also in 20+ years of friendship never asked about certain aspects of his personal business like everyone else had. Friendship is a two way street. Im one of the most fiercely loyal people you will ever meet.

The beautidul thng about entitled pricks is they go away when the hand-outs do.
Just keep it zip-locked proper and let the greedy bastids migrate to greener pastures.
Those that stay are the ones worth sharing with, the ones worth letting in.
Being a generous person it may be counter-intuitive, but youd be so much better off for it.
Just like your yields, you want quality over quantity... Ideally both, but this isnt an ideal world as such.
Shed the shwag and keep those few headie mates that are left.

dude i hear you. same thing 2 years ago, was very generous and tried to help so many people . $18,000 of my ssi went to helping others. never again. time will help..... i guess

being loyal and true is how a good friendship is formed! The others will weed themselves out of your life. I have three people I consider friends. All the other people I see I try to keep on hi bye level. My life just went down a road where "friends" have to be chosen very carefully. One thing I can say about letting go of friends is life is 10 times less complicated.

A true friend is somone who asks for nothing and is there in times of need and expects nothing in return....that is my definition of a friend....!

After i first started growing so many moons ago I cut ties with most people i associated with. I have all of 2 friends left. Friends are like weed... the quality is more important than the quantity.

Soooooo true!! I have 2 real friends. We'd bury bodies for each other.

Most friends are like seagulls, always flying around ya and eventually they shit on you.

Im not antisocial or anything like that but good game recognizes good game I choose my people I associate (friends) with very carefully.

None of the real friends are... imagine that.. well, except one.

I tried putting him on a bus to the NW yesterday to help him get clean.
He called me yesterday to apologize and say he didnt get on the bus... getting back with his girl,,, still wants to get clean... blah blah.. Sucks. I gotta cut ties with him even though he was not one of the people around for the perks.

19 days.. i'm not going back to it. not a fucking chance.

I have a BFF that we try to beat the other guy to paying for the tab. I've gone as far as calling ahead & giving my credit card number & said do NOT bring the check to the table!.....it's been going for years like this.......He's been a really good friend......

I've let go of almost every friend I have for similar reasons. It's sucks, probably more so for your friends because they're losing a genuinely friend (you're not), but such is life.

Friends are like testicles... you only really need one good one. ;)
