Liberty Haze

Taken before fitting the screen, and I'm thinking that they look like great little plants that I want to flip, use a screen to manage them a little bit and just see how it goes...



After threading up the screen and fitting it, it looks bare and I want to veg for longer to fill it out, now. The tent has had one night of 12hours in darkness but I don't think that's enough to flip it (?) so I might return to 18/6 and veg the screen a bit. What do you think?

I had a 'water incident' over these past few days. I kept coming back to the tent to find water everywhere, not a full blowout and my drainage is pretty good (not good enough, mind, still water on the floor) but I still had an issue. It appeared, to me, that the lower leaves were going under some of the water streams and splashing water outside of the pots - at least I had that happen before - but there was more water this time. I trimmed back some of the lower growth, but the very next evening I return to check on the tent and it's the same again, water everywhere. It's awkward to get myself back there but I trim some more, turn on the water for 5 minutes and it's fine. Next evening - same again, more water.

I put it off another day but I figured that I would have to remove the pot that I believe is at fault and investigate. This meant I had to remove the screen. What a pain in the arse. Anyway, it turns out roots had blocked the drain hole so I pulled out all the other pots, one by one and checked but it was only the first plant that had broken through the barrier separating the medium and the pot/drain holes. It wasn't a complete block, either, so when I test-ran it before I didn't notice the pot slowly filling up. I trimmed the roots, which were lovely and bright white, installed a new barrier/screen and I think we're okay

I took a photo after removing the screen, and one after fitting the screen again [and letting it rest for 8 hours.] So this is at five weeks and a day or so.

The screen back on and the plants left for eight hours, during their day cycle, to relax and reach back through the screen to make a pretty photo...

Just a quick update: We're at day 40 of veg, and I've flipped over to 12/12 I'm going to keep feeding them the veg nutrients for another ten days to two weeks, and keep the MH bulb in there during that time. After that, I'll switch over to the flower nutrients and HPS bulb.

Since the mishap with the water, everything has been going well.

I have swapped over to flower nutrients. I wanted to keep using veg' nutrients for two weeks but I have simply run out, five days in to 12/12. I'm not going to buy more for the sake of five days... That's okay, they've stretched 10cm during those five days and they're now showing their first hairs so I'll just sit back and see what happens

I'm glad I can follow along with your grow. I'm currently growing a multi strain grow and LH is one of my ladies(Feminized seed). I will be posting my current grow in about a week. Im on Day 22 from seed so nothing interesting to show yet. Good job bro can't wait to see how it finish out. Green Mojo

Awesome,mate, good luck. My next grow will be a multi but I'll attempt to keep the LH mother alive indefinitely. I've got some new pictures going up, soon. You gotta see the stretch on the LH..

We are at day six on flower nutrients, though it's still just day 11 of 12/12. They've doubled in height above the screen. [edit: I just realised i didn't post the last picture that i thought i did, they've clearly more than doubled since the last posted photos] Im going to fit the second screen over the coming days - I don't want to find up having to string up the colas as I did last time.

I added the second screen, tonight, because I don't want to spend hours stringing up individual colas, as I had to last grow I'm not sure if it's at the correct height, it's about 10 inches from the first screen. Doc? I'm thinking the LH will stretch into it and it will bare the weight of what's to come. That said, the doubt I have says lower the screen a couple of inches...

After taking this photo I swapped out the MH bulb for a HPS, too, as things are starting to get a little hairy

So shooting out her pubes atcha?! nice looking jungle there brother. Id say leave it where it is because shes still going to grow many more inches above .... you can lower it later if needed. Just make sure theres good light penetration through the top screen. Dont forget to clear thise big fan leavea blocking the light here and there and only a few a day as to not stress the plant too much ... looking good bro .. keep it up ... miss growing the mary J

Hey Doc! Yeah, it was fine where it was - pictures to follow! Any plans on starting up another grow?

Remember when I was worried that I may need to lower the upper screen?



I've got some pruning to do! I haven't been able to check on the girls much at all in the week since I added the upper screen, I haven't been around during their day period, and as such I haven't been doing much pruning - especially compared to last time. I've just finished cleaning up beneath the screens, now, it was quite full of dead and dying leaves, and small shoots. That's all clean and tidy now so fresh air will circulate better and growth potential/energy wont be wasted trying to keep that stuff down there alive. I also clipped a few fan leaves away up the top, after these photos were taken but mostly cleaning up beneath the screens. I'm going to let them relax for a few days before I prune upstairs a bit more - it's very thick.

The flowers have also started coming in quite well and the spacing looks okay I hope to have some nice dense colas like last time. I think the stretching has all but stopped.



So, yeah, I'll prune back a few more leaves upstairs, some time in the next week, let that light through, and it should just be a waiting game

Funny you mentioned this .. although i have enough herbs to last me another year or year and a half, i am thinking about obtainingsome high CBD strains seeds like Barney's Critical cure and ACDC (if i can get seeds of the latter) to experiment making some CBD tinctures .... if all goes well and if i succeed getting me some CBD seeds in this upcoming visit to the states, i will be having a run here in or around august

G'day

We're at four weeks of flowering (well, just under) and so-far so-good.

I checked back over the the log from my current grows, grandparent seed grow Going from three plants to five, and other factors I'm sure, took 29 days off the veg time! Flowering will take a similar amount of time, this time, as it did before but cutting a month off of the vegetation cycle is significant. I was thinking I could have veg'd a bit longer, but now I look at the spread - considering I did no topping/FIMing - I'm super happy with how it's going




The flowers look bunched up nice and tight, I think, some are a little more advanced than others but overall it's looking good



So you can get some idea on scale; the two screens are 30cm apart and the colas are taller than that, again, above the top screen.

Looking amazing dude ... wow .... they filled in amazingly ... and glad you didnt lower the top screen hah .... l8berty haze stretches like crazy ... n produces like crazy too .... with less vegging the branches will have more room around them (compared to last time if i remember correctly) and that means better light penetration .... those buds will fatten n tighten up very nicely! .... very excited to see how this turns out!.
From my previois scrog, my Amnesia produced the most. Could he genetics. But i know for a fact from observing the bud structure in the tent, that the amnesia, which had more room around it, had the fatter buds n produced a lot kore than the bubblicious and the white widow (heard the white widow wasn't a heavy yielder but dude ya gotta try the high .... so complex and keeps changing on ya ... its great hah) ..... damn im chatty .... i just smoked some but i cant remember what yeah thats the amnesia talking .. yeah anyway i went off on a tangent.... yeah im looking forward to seeing how those ladies fatten up ... Happy growin bro you're killin it like ya always do

Here's some pictures to help with your motivation! I haven't been able to attend to these as much as the last grow, work has kept me away during the tents day cycle. Today I was able to open it up and snap a few pictures while I swapped out the reservoir It smells unbelievable in there

With a few minutes to spare, I opened up the tent to take a couple of photos before the HPS turned on. I got a few pictures, I think that without the red light saturation from the HPS you can get a better idea of how it's coming along, but the lights came on suddenly as I only allowed a moment of 'extra' daylight for a few snaps.



This past week I installed two 100(ish)w COB LEDs that weren't being utilized elsewhere. I've never used them like this so I don't know what to expect, but I figure it's extra light so I might as well. When the timer hit and the lights turned on, the LED's became immediately bright while my HPS comes on in stages... That throws some mean looking colours around the tent
