I guess if that was to happen to me, the lack on dissolved oxygen would by my number one fear .... not the lights being off (no photosynthesis for a little vs no oxygen to breath for a little too)

Thanks Dr, I figured it would be OK as, in nature, they don't all suddenly suffer on the odd cloudy days. It's good to get confirmation. :) I'd heard that about 24 to 48 hours darkness pre-harvest, too, while searching around here for power-out related threads, interesting...

I wondered if it was possible to knock the plant out of flower, mess up its gender or something if you lost power for six to 48 hours. If there was a point of no return, whereby you may as well cut it down/it will no longer advance in the direction you want.

Also, when the power went off I feed the plants by watering can, as per schedule, because they missed the scheduled breakfast/first feeding and I wasn't sure how long the lights would be off... Is that the right thing to do, even though they're in the dark?
 
So, this is how it's looking at 42 days of flower :)

I swapped out the rez, today, but as there's been some power issues the girls haven't eaten much. In fact, the PPM was higher the day after it had suffered power loss... I figured photosynthesis got interrupted so they weren't eating and the hydro system, which still managed to make its waterings, possibly washed off some salt build-up off the medium back into the rez? A few stalled days.

I think DrCanna jinxed me.

Anyway, everything is back to normal, I think, and my girls are soaking up the rays...

"It's only logical" lmao ... well guess what ... maybe ya gave me a jinx back? Lmao because it seems the high dose Ripen I gave the girls with such a high ppm of 1300 burned the girls and the heck out of amnesia. But I reacted fast yesterday and immediately lowered the ppm back to the normal range for them and already seeing recovery today .... l dont know why but all these hiccups are stressing me out and makibg me anxious to harvest fast lol ... last few weeks and all these hiccups ... hope I dont lose too much on yield ... not that it really matters ... all of this is for my persobal use .... whatevwr I get will be too much anyway hah .... happy growing bro ... n hope things stay stable for the next few weeks til harvest day ;-)

I hope I don't have more issues... I don't need the stress! I'm much the same; What's on the plants now is more than I was expecting so if I slow things down here and there it wont be a problem, just a lesson, and its personal so I'm still going to save on buying weed. :)

I have to remember that I've had little hiccups since I germinated the seeds, I know the plant is pretty strong :)
 
I've had to make some 'structural' changes ;)

At this stage it's just by the main flap I use to access the tent, but I can see that I need to do this all the way around the edge. All the growth is taller there and fallen. After I had tied up a few branches it made it easier to prop up tops leaning against them, too, and make the light more available to areas. I'm going to tie up what I can reach, around the edges, this week. I'll do a little clipping at the same time,

This shows what I mean, how the outer tops now support the inner tops; standing everything up a little. Also, when I access the tent these tops would spill out, I imagine given enough time I'll break one off or some harm would come. These things are 35/40cm tall, Google tells me that's about 15"...

The tent wall, itself, does the same for much of the rest of the tent but I can see, now, how the corners and some other areas might really benefit from getting tied up. I wish I had got that second screen! :)


Everything is so sticky i just wrapped the string around something once and it stuck there. I tried a few different things, around the main branch but I didn't want to interfere with bud growth. In the end, I think you can see, I just tied up a fan leaf.

My hands come out of this smelling like expensive lime bodywash. I'm a bit heavy handed, and the string go stuck on anything it touched... it happened a lot! I mourned the trichome loss but enjoyed the sticky sweet smell. I left it on and rolled a joint, best smelling joint there ever was :)

Amazing limy hazy smell isnt it??? That smell puts a smole on yoir face all freakin day as if ya just got some hahahaha wnjoy it beo ajd dont worry about those outter trichomes ... most of those fall off anyway and thats why youre going to collect them for somw good kief ;-)

Beautiful, just beautiful. I want to grow some other nice smelling weed, too. Another thread I sometimes post in has photos of this guys grape*something plants. I want to grow that! Apparently it smells super strong, like the LH does.

It's funny, we don't really collect the kief as you call it, here. I was having this conversation with a mate just recently, you see we leave as much of it on the whole flower as possible. It's just not typically done and most guys here will swear against it. Different cultures hehe
 
I hear ya dude .. but thats a good part ... i want to meet people from different cuktures n chill with them smoke with them . Talk about how we do it here and how they do it there ... ya know? Pkus ya get learn a lot more about processing and different ways of getting the benefits. Like in my previous grow where i had LH and pineapple express with purple haze and northern lights ... had a pound of good nugs that were frosty .... mmmmm big strainer and the buds went it in batches ... kept shaking and colkected a lot of hash ..... saved it ajd shared it with friends .... mist of those will be lost in bags or mason jars .... why not collect them and spike up a J or a bowl one day for spexial occasions? ... how I think about it ... ;-)
Btw the bubblicious I have going now is a nice smelking one too ... very very friuty ... look into the beat bubblegum genetics. .. should bw good to smell n smoke ..... n aparentky the ladies LOVE how it affects them ;-)

Oh dude and its not just the smell ... some buds are just too beautiful to smoke ... look at this PDxA a buddy of mine was growing on another forum ... look how thise vuds look like little roses ... just amazing ... also check out pics on google of blue kush ;-)

If I can pull a few ounces out of my grow I'm sure I'll shake off a little kief, USA style, just because I have enough weed on hand to do so :D

Wow, those buds are amazing. A little bouquet of roses, like you said. I've never seen that before!
 
Yea dude .... do look into strains like that colorful tasty and nice smelling strains ;-)
Yeah in regards to collecting the kief, i try to get every bit of the goodness this plant has to offer .... i collect the outter crystals. ... i get bubble hash out of the trim .... and i use the fluffly lower buds also for bubble hash or BHO ....... try not to waste any of it ..... i also make canna butter .... obviously you can do all of that with the buds too ... but i keep my good dense buds to smoke because thats my preferred way of getting the medicine (or get the high hah) .... but i dont want to waste the rest of the goodness .... i use the kief n bubble hash and wax in a small and discrete vaporizer pen (dabbing pen) when im out and about n need to medicate ... see i have chronic anxiety but sometimes they progress to panic attacks. ..... having the vape pen on me discretely saved my life a few times .... it doesnt smell as much or even the same as hitting the flowers in the same vape pen .... the kief or bubble tastes .... mmmm well ... right hand up to god ..... just like what you smell in the tent or when ya rub agains the buds ;-)
Btw im hyper as heck as ya can tell on LH wax in my vape pen an hour and a half ago

Ha! Sure, I'm going to be all over any type of hash I can make. I've done edibles before and I like them, a lot, but just like everything else...$ That wont be an issue in a couple of months. I've bought some bubble bags, already, and frozen a bunch of my RO water - I'll be making bubble hash ASAP! BHO I'll try, too, it looks simple enough and I've never smoked it before. It also looks fun to make. I really love to smoke, though, so the best heads will be kept for that. I vaporize, too, mostly as my mobile medication, for essentially the same reasons, also it doesn't smell as obvious - there's no such thing as medical mj here - and no mess. I'll take some kief from the girls simply to try it... and probably continue doing it if i like.

I love cannabis, learning to make and perfect different methods of growing, extracting and using it fits in exceptionally well as a hobby, with the type of person I am. :D

Man, I can't wait to dab some of this LH, I think I can tell when you've had some now haha. I guess I need to buy a piece for that.
 
Thats awesome dude ... i guess a few more weeks and you will be on cloud 9 hah ... harvesting then trimming then drying and curing... hash making, BHO making, cannabutter making ... then trying all the different ways to smoke all of this and trying wax for the first time ... btw losing your virginity to wax is a good experience ;-) youll love it ...
you are going to be busy man ... but the real question is mmmmm need some help smoking some of that? Hah :-P

From what seed bank your plant? A lot of breeders make their own strains/ I want to grow the best but not the only the most famous?
