just browsing through here and people have multiple dofferent lights for veg and flower. Do I needt this? Using bloom plus xp3000 and I used it for veg and flower. I am assuming max yield/thc is why you would need multiple lights?? Any specific lights that do both well? I am considering buying a new light but not sure yet. Newbie here.

multiple lights are usualy metal halide for growth and sodium for flower. led's cover both growth and flower if the light is ballanced properly
i dont know enough about led lights to tell you how good that 300w light is like, im not familier with that brand.
but you should be good for growth and flower with that light, no need for a second one.
if you buy another led light, make sure its dimable and more powerfull then you need, that way, you can grow and flower under a dimmed light, thats giving you the same light output as a smaller lght, but will last you much longer b4 needing to be replaced

bra i just saw your grow light uses lm301b diodes, runs 300 watt's and gets you 1900umol/m2/s@12" like holy smokes thats a nice light! i started off growing with led and honestly your light looks amazing why are you considering buying a new light? led lights are like the new technology! the old HID tech like HPS and MH only produces like 120lumens per watt and new led diodes can produce up to 220lumens per watt! thats 100 lumens per watt more than HID!

Different lights give Different spectrums and thus different plant structure.
Also you need more light for flower than veg..
But LED gives good tight internode growth anyway so you don't need another light unless your under powered for the flowering space.
I personally veg with Metal halide because I saves me adding heat.. then I flower with LED because it creates more light per watt than HPS.

Because I don't know what I'm doing yet and all these 1000 dollar lights make me think mine is garbage lol
Thank you. This is my first grow and I have burnt the shit out the plants with it too lol. Also nute burn, overwatering.... but they're coming along. I think one is fox tailing bad... the first one but w.e we love we learn. The others buds look good leaves look like I tortured them....

Can i recommend that you read a book? I purchased a book for 14.99 on google play store called "Cannabis Growers Handbook by ed rosenthal" this book has helped me a lot. I recommend you buy a copy and give it a read.

I call this my experimental grow and, my next will be my learning lol. I harvested 1 plant already wayyyyyyy too early. Buds look like they'd kill u but doesn't smoke good. Learned a LOT so far and I like growing, it's more for fun than anything tbh because I still go to the dispensary lol

Yes.
It tastes like chloryphyll however i havent let it cure i just let it hang in a cardboard box in my room at about 75ish degees and 45-50 humidity to i know i fucked up there. Also researching more today i need to let it sit in the mason jar for a month or 3 to get rid of the chloryphyll taste. It just tastes like i am smoking a plant lol. Not much high, i also harvested really really early.

ed rosenthal's book teaches you how to break down chlorophyll sugars and starches within the buds for a smooth smoke it also teaches you how to get more potent cannabis indoors that book helped me so much man if you give it a read and take it seriously you will be growing some fire potent gas by the end of the book trust me.

I bought three ed rosenthal books and a handful of others from different authors, I have read maybe a paragraph total before I felt like I went in a time machine and was talking to the kings of bro science, it was like talking to my grandfather about how him and his buddies used to grow.. I couldn't do it.. I chose the forums and reading online for more info..
worst of all that latest rosenthal book is basically just a rehash of his old ones from what I can tell browsing through them, a lot of repeated nonsense and a lot of old methods like, old outdated feeling.. not trying to knock ed or anyone that has found them useful but I personally think you could spend your time better

Most of em are hype or meant for commercial ops. Long as you have enough light in your space you’re good.
switching was more a thing back when everyone was using hid. Mh has less red and a shit load of blue so you get more compact growth in veg/early flower. Hps has more red and a slightly higher efficiency than mh(but not full spectrum led)
sure there are leds more geared towards one or the other but that’s not super relevant to most home growers.
