Light question (a good one!)

i was wondering if a black light would be useable by a plant (in addition to regular lights), since it produces uv rays.

also, while i am waiting for more money to buy more cfl's for my plant, i put i a fixture of two 4 foot flourescent tubes that are 40 watts each, and i also have three 100w cfls on the plant along with the tubes. is this enough light? by the way my plant it on 12/12 in the flowering stage if that helps.

No its not. Its a horrible light. Why/what makes you think of a black light?

Also, try doing a search. I just read 3-5 threads on black lights.

The 100W CFL, is that the 'equivalent' or its actually draw? For flowering, all the light you can muster is the rule of thumb

WITH COLORED GLASS, ALL LIGHT PUTS OUT UV TO SOME DEGREE, ITS RADIATION, NUCLEAR MAN!!!!!. THEY DO MAKE GROW LIGHTS THAT SHOULD FIT IN YOUR BALLAST, @ MOST HARDWARE STORES, BUT IM NOT SURE IF A SPEC. BALLAST IS REQUIRED??? I USE 1000W MH, GROW AND HPS, BLM, SPENDY BUT THEY WORK FOR ME. HOPE THIS HELPS, CHECK MY PICS IF YOU HAVE SOME TIME. ALSO IF YOU GET A CHANCE HIT THE LOCAL GROW SHOP THERE IS A SPECTRUM GRAPH ON MOST BOXES FOR GRW LIGHTS. WELL NUF 4 NOW. B.
