So I've been on 12 12 for almost one week now 5 am to 5 pm. It's not working with my work schedule and I need to be able to water. Will it hurt the plants or will they have a chance to herm if I switch it to 6am to 6pm

I'd change the cycle to 5am to 6pm, then switch to 6-6 the following day just to be safe.

I prefer to run lights on at night anymore, but that's me.

Pretty sure it's lights on 5am - 6pm. I don't know anyone that lists there dark periods lol
I'm wanting it to be 6am to 6 pm because I leave the house at 630 in the morning then get back from work at 5 to 530 pm. Just didn't want a problem with under watering these girls are drinking a shit load

I thought your dark cycle was 5am-5pm. Anyways, it's better to add extra darkness vs extra light during the transition.

I use wifi smart switches connected to Google Assistant as timers. The time is set by Google's time servers. When the clocks go forward or back for DST the time changes automatically, so when the clocks go forward they get an extra hour of light and when the clocks go back they get an extra hour of darkness, it never seems to make any difference.
