For a number of reasons, I haven't been able to get my tents set up and a grow started - until today!
Here's a quick list of what's in the big black box:
Strains
Herijuana - I've really enjoyed this strain so far; the seeds I made have about a 95% success rate, and a 60/40 fem/male ratio. They grow vigorously, 2 recognizable phenos so far:
1 - I used the GH trio at full strength in soil and this pheno loved it. Small pistils show earlier than their sisters and put on a nice frost show. STINKY in early flower - burning rubber / vomit and a shade of weed on the back end - actually a little unpleasant smelling at times until changing to a very hashy scent. Cures olive green with a golden shine, very nice, tasty smoke and STONY. Strong indica, lots of couch-lock & a nap is often the end result.
2 - I burned the crap out of these using the exact same dose that pheno 1 got. Small pistils shows MUCH later, towards the end of flowering; very little discernable smell, woody with a fruit punch overtone. Smaller overall than their sisters - maybe coz I burnt 'em...
Once the pistils popped, they were coated in a greasy frost that was a muted, sweet hash scent once cured. Less visible frost than pheno 1 and a lighter green. Noticeably less couch-lock and a tendency to write overly long journal entries (and the dog is pissed that I put on his harness but got lost here & forgot to walk him).
Mazar/Black Triangle X Azad Kashmir
I've been wanting to try new strains, and this one has been on my mind for a while. These are untested seeds, so I'll be keeping a sharp eye on them. I'm planning to stay on the mild side of everything, so hopefully that mitigates some of the potential issues (hermming, etc.) Should be fun!
Most of the other strains I want to try I also want to preserve, so I need to get one of my other tents running - but that's going to be a few weeks down the road.
The space
Spare 10'x12'x8' bedroom (my son moved out on his own - wtg!)
-4'x8'x6.5' tent complete with pinholes and a small rip in the ceiling (covered by the fan's baseplate)
Ventilation
Exhaust: AC infinity T6 exhausting out of an exterior window.
Intakes: 6" duct placed at window (2' below the exhaust) - (2) 4" ducts running on the floor behind the tent.
Lights
(2) 240w GrowDaddy (6 bars on a frame, [4] 2,700k & [2] 5,000k) - 3 Viparspectras (appx 650w)
- Lighting will most likely be changing before this grow is through
Soil
1 bag - Fox Farms Ocean Forest, 5 bags Recipe 420 Maximum Impact
- a neighbor recommended R420; says it seems to be FFOF, but not as hot. I like his weed, so I'm trying it. Oh, it's $10 less per bag too.
5 gal fabric pots.
I forgot that I gave a friend a few one gal fabric pots, I'm down to 4. So I'm going to start 4 heri in those, the rest will go into grow bags, then all will go into their 5 gal final pots.
Nutes & Schedule*
* "Schedule" is loose at best, I try to listen to my plants, if they're still exploding at week 4, I'll wait.
FF All Purpose 6-4-5 - Planning to top dress with this on week 3 or 4 (depending on what the plants say), then again a few days after the flip
FF Japanese Maple 4-3-4 - This is what happens when I go to the garden shop stoned.
I'm not entirely unhappy I grabbed this, 4-3-4 seems good.
FF Flower Girl 4-9-3 - This is what I was supposed to grab I'm probably going back there today. Probably applying towards the end of stretch.

Black Triangle X Kashmir - big seeds with full length stripes. Hopefully they all crack!
