Hey everyone!
This is my first post, but I have to say I love this site, an absolute savior!
My style op is an al b. fuct style sog grow. Thanks to Al B. i'm probably years ahead of where I'd be without his knowledge, but years away from his level of execution. Ebb and flow recirculating system, changed every 11 days. Strain is supposedly Blue Bonic a cross between Kooteny blueberry and Blue satellite #2.2 or . Definitely indica dominant with a lemon head taste. Uplifting high that keeps creeping without all that couch lock paranoia.
The veg room is 1 250 watt cooltube under an AAW run 18/6, with 2 Baby Bloomer trays supporting 6 moms total. They are flooded 15 minutes every 1.5 hours with no under/overwatering issues. This area also supports 1 2'*2' tray of 16 sog plants in veg for 11 days, due to lack of height during flower (16" max). The flower room inline fan exhausts the air from the veg room into the flower room and out through the attic.
Clones are done in a homemade 5 gallon rough tote with 2" mesh pots with hydroton. Clones are dipped in Clonex root gel, then put in the mesh pots with hton and the cloner has (4) 16" air tube bubblers on the bottom for aeration. I use 2ml each veg, micro, and bloom per gallon. results are great, about 11 days to have useable root structure to transfer.
In the flowering room are (4) 2'*2' trays with 16 plants per tray, each square 5"*5"*5" pots. Pots are hydroton, and are flooded 3.5" for 8 minutes 7 times during lights on, with the last watering being done 1 hour before lights off. They are flowered under 12/12 by a 1000watt cooltubed light, connected to a large AAW, approximately14" from the tops. Exhaust is a 400cfm inline fan that exhausts 15 minutes every 1.5 hours, also pulling air from the house into the veg room then through the flower room and finally out . A/C keeps everything at 74 degrees Fahrenheit, and a 15 pint per day dehumidifier keeps the humidity at 50%. 1 large circulating fan in the corner keeps the air moving. I run a sulfur burner for 8 minutes 1 hour before lights on, and 1 hour after lights off. 3 months in and no sulfer burn, no powdery mildew.
The system environment is tightly dialed, however I am still very new at this. A lot of money and research went into this, many thanks to Al B. Fuct for that. My nutrients are the 3 part gh, and I use the Lucas formula (0-8-16) for moms , and also add calmag and fulvic acid to the tray of sog in veg. week 0-2 is strictly lucas formula and floralicious plus, week 3-4 uses lucas formula plus Floralicious plus and liquid kool bloom. week 5 introduces powder kool bloom as well. Flushing starts beginning of week 6, so far I am flowering for about 7 weeks 2 days, or 52 days. pH is always 5.8 I have harvested 4 trays so far, averaging about 4-6 oz per tray. All of these harvests were 9 inch clones moved straight to flowering, finishing 12-14 inches by 52 days. Now, with the pre-vegging 11 day period, the plants are now about 15-16 inches by weeks 3-4, but I have yet to see them fully finish. I feel like I'm getting to the 30 inch height that most are getting.
No nute burn, light burn, ph, or other signs of stress are evident. No yellowing of any leaves throughout flowering either. The colas are caked with resin, and the sugar leaves look ridiculously crystaly. Nice mold resistant strain obviously.
With all of that being said, I was looking for others with similar grows or grow journals or posts, or anything, especially with the nutrients that I have. GH 3part, fulvic acid, floralicious plus, Liquid kool bloom, powder kool bloom, and cal mag. I've done a few batches with these, and some with just lucas formula 0-8-16. I've found that the lucas with the additives results in better results. I'd like to use all 3 parts in flower, maybe 5-10-20 grow/micro/flower to correct random N deficiencies along with floralicious plus liquid kool bloom and powder kool bloom, but haven't seen anybody that has tested it. My concern is that I cannot seem to get to the 1400 ppm range that the gurus here do. I peak out about 1.6 ec or 1120ppm @ .7. The lucas formula at 8 ml per gallon of micro and 16 ml of flower only starts the plant at 1.1 ec or 770ppm @ .7. Moms in veg are lucas formula 8ml micro per gallon, 16 ml flower per gallon. In flower I use 5 ml Liquid kool bloom per gallon, .25 ml floralicious plus per liter , and 1/4 teaspoon per gallon or 1.25 grams powder kool bloom per 4 liters . In veg, 10 ml per gallon of fulvic acid, 5ml cal mag per gallon. Is this low ec the culprit of low height, I'm pruning week 3 and 4 low branches that are over 1" long. The canopy is full but light gets to the plants.
Long story
Thanks if you took time to read this. Hopefully someone here can spot any glaring problems or find a problem with my low ec concerns.
