Low Ryder or 1 plant in apartment

Alright so im growing out doors right now but im moving into an apartment with 4 friend.. we want to grow couple low ryders just for our selves.. what I looked at in this forum is that low ryder are a waste and for the light u are wasting u should just grow 1 plant under a 250watt or so light. Im looking to just grow possible 1-2oz off a plant.. should I be using a 250 wat or lower wattage? Im living in an apartment and im not looking for a huge 4 plant operation grow, just 1 female plant. What would be the best route you guys think?

If you're only trying to get 1-2 Oz. of a plant then grow Lowryder#2's...you get about 1 Oz. per plant and you can get 5 under a 250W MH. Also you won't have to buy two lights cause they're auto-flowering. BTW 4 plants isn't a huge grow op...lol 4 is about average.

What im really worried about is it being so BIG, I want my plant to be max size around 28inches tall really.

do a sog wit da lr's bra. you can get more plants in there. you should go dro wit da lrs makes it easier to do sog

Suthin like dis (kinda dark when taken but you kinda get da idea) you could build two and have 12 small plants

Well im gonna do a small grow its about 3' long 2' wide and 28"inches tall. Its a mini dresser. I just wanna know the max I can use that out of really. Im thinking about doing how ever many lowryders I can fit in that dresser with a decent light that can save me money, or maybe 1-2 plants that can fit that size.

To bad there is no 100+ hps/mh lights, only separate ones.

you using a hps 2ft 4in isnt much height you want to go lr's and do a sog.
not one big plant bra you'd proly burn it.

bra it all depends on what medium u use you doin soil or wat befo you can find out how many plants you can put in there.
usually it's 1 plant per sq ft. so 6 plants.
You gotta put detail out.

Well its 4Lx2W and 28" tall so.. that means i could grow 4 plants in there, but its not tall enough, i could just veg them at like 10inches... or grow a bunch of low ryders lol but which light would be decent for them? should I go witha 250watt still and grow a lot of lowryders?

250 watt is the minimum I would recommend for growing weed. if you do well expect about 120 grams total weight.

but for wut, lowryder? or just 1 plant?

alright i think ill go with 250hps on my 4x2 cuz i can grow 6 lowryders. thanks for the help guys

Argh this just makes me angry cuz I don't feel like growing 6-7 lowryders if I can just grow 1 plant and equal the same amount of bud as 6-7lowryders put together.

Of course you can grow just 1 plant for the same amount, but not in the space you have, 24" just isnt enough to get that yield without doing a SoG or ScroG grow. No need trying to get fancy with your first grow, keep it as simple as can be.

4saken, The new cool is something called Diesel Ryder, which everyone seems to be purchasing and growing, including myself. Diesel Ryder is a cross between NYC Diesel and Lowryder #2, and can produce anywhere from 1-3 ounces in a single plant, with it's height being under 2 feet, usually around 1-1.8ft tall. It's extremely resinous, it smells like fruits, it tastes like sweet fruit goodness, and it's potent as fuck. It has the capacity to be grown to 18% THC.

This is not my first grow, although it is my first indoor grow. I have 3 females that are about 6-7 foot tall right now. Alright ill go with the lowryders. Kirby do u only have 1 source of light? HPS because is Diesel Ryder a auto flowering?

any "Ryder" is gonna be an auto because those are the auto strains that were created by the Joint doctor. Ne ways your cab is only 28" tall. That is too short in my opinion for a 250wHPS a 150wHPS needs to stay 8" away from plant tops. Depending on how high your pots are(i've heard LR's like to dig their roots deep) than you need to figure out how much space you really have for plant growth. LRs are great because they only grow about 12-18" tall. I have seen some taller ones before though. Like that guy said earlier you should sog it and just work on those top colas.

if ya dont mind me askin, if u got 3 6-7' fems outdoors why u even gona bother with 2x4x28"tall room. I think in that space unless u run a cooltube setup, or have lots of extraction u wil have heat problems with a 250w hps. Id use envirolites(large high power cfl's), way cheaper to buy and run with less than half the heat, u can grow up to an inch below the bulb without burning so u can make full use of yr low height, theyre available in 125w and 200w ud need one blue spectrum for veg and one red for bloom altho Lr's will do well under a red start to finish coz they flower after leaving their seedling phase, anyway i was given an Lr2 seed last year and i grew it under a single 125w red envirolite 18/6 for 8weeks, couldnt put it in my tent with my 600hps coz its on permanent 12/12, yielded just under an Oz dry and finished at 15"tall, also Lr2 and most of its crosses are available feminised, and would stop u wasting time and space with males.

heres a pic of the red envirolite i used 4 that Lr2 and pics of one of my big buddha cheese and one of my ghs NL#5 x haze mist vegging both 3wks old under a single 125w blue envirolite.
