My trichs are turning more amber every day, my calyxes are swelling up all over the place. I can tell that the main cola is going to be done before the rest of the plant. Does anyone know how long after I take the central bud I can grow the rest of the plant for??? I know the small ones wont be ready the same time as the main cola...

dont skimp on that tool. you get what you pay for especially in this circumstance. amc so getting ready to harvest? nice. Mine just seem to keep growing. i think the flowering bulbs will make the diff. my male is a monster. everybody seems to be harvesting ahead of me. kinda sucks for me. and half my bud will be seeded. Today i think i have to haul it and get the cabinet done. theres so many leaks there will be pollen everywhere. Well better start now i guess.

i bought a 20$ PPM meter 1 month ago and its still working great.... just DO NOT drop it or submerge it to far into water... ironically the ppm meters are NOT water proof and will be ruined if you drop them into the water... here is the link for the one that i bought.....get some calibration fluid with it and spare batteries....

Nice setup and plants, ive never tried growing lr2, i bought citrus and purple power seeds off the internet and out of the 10 citrus seeds i had, none sprouted and out of the 10 purple power seeds i had, 1 sprouted, i just recently bought 20 twilight seeds. I wa thinking of doing what you did and setup my own hydro system. Right now i am only growing from flouro's, but i have a 1000 watt hps light that i want to use but i was going to wait until i eaither buy a grow box($500.00-$3,000) or make my own ($20.00-$150.00). Do you think you can post the pictures on how you made yours and how to set it up, like what stuff do i need to do it and all the measurements would be nice:) thanks

Yeah, Im gonna harvest inlike 1-2 weeks, the funny thing is I have said that for about 1-2 weeks. So hopefully soon. LOL. Im becoming very impressed with this cross though, I would recomend it to anyone.

Im putting a couple pics in my thread if anyone would like to take a look. not much happening buds are starting to swell and they are smelling so potent already, the bud i got the seeds from stunk. smelt like skunky bubblegum and the smell from the plants smell just like the bud i smoked. Im excited:]

My setup was kinda built around what would come together easily with things available where i live. You could easily switch to a different cabinet and find rubbermaid containers that will work. My cabinets interior space is exactly 2x4x6tall. I added spacers when building to make the interior specs that size. when you buy it those are the exterior specs. my lights wouldnt fit so spacers were needed. Then once this group is done i can add the shelf in there and grow 2 levels inside. And if the plants end up staying small enough there may be room for a small seedling area at the top. good luck

amc you can harvest the main cola and just treat it the same until the rest is done. I do it everytime. I am going to be doing this to my hempstars also. It actually helps send energy to those underdeveloped buds. they'll finish soon after

I decided I am going to flush on sunday, that gives me time to give them one more dose of nutes!!! Then I will harvest the main cola only off of my fattest plant, Then after the soil dries, I will continue with nutes and then eventually harvest the next level, and so on and so forth... Is it true that a good way to see if your plant is flushed is to: pluck a leaf and taste the juices that flow from the stem, if its tangy and bitter its still got nutes, if it tastes like water its done???

Never heard of that technique but i dont see it as being to accurate. Personally i would flush now because the soil has nutrients left in it slightly and the plants leaves will feed the bud sights for the final week. Once you start flushing there is still nutes in the leaves that will continue to grow the plant as the leaves die off. Better to flush early. I'd say risk losing a gram or 2 and have the smooth smoke. Just because it looks nearly done now.

So should I just skip the nutes on my next watering and flush instead for one week then harvest??? Sorry bro Im really buzzin right now, trouble understandin!!!

Yah start flushing now. Your plant has stored nutrients in the leaves. It will use them for the last week. the leaves will die and dry up but the plant will continue to uptake water and clear it out. The worst that can happen by flushing now is you lose 1 gram or so and have some crazy smooth smoke. Def stop the nutes. you aint going to pop out another ounce or anything. that plant is ready to be flushed and that way on the perfect day it will be ready to harvest and be smooth. you might nute now and find it done in 2 days and then have to continue flushing for a few days to clear it out. flush now for sure.

Do you think my trichs will be ready by the time I am done flushing, I am at like 10% amber trichs, give or take??? If so, what kind of high would I get from this??? Hey your about to hit 1000 posts pro!!!

oh yah. maybe when you hit a thousand posts it stops you from posing words to. lol. even if it takes 2 weeks to finish its fine. that will make your smoke amazing. def better to under nute than overnute. trust me. i swear man your plant will easily last till the trichs are the colour you want. like i said you wont pull alot more out of it. dont do it. it honestly tastes like plant when you go to far. when you flush extra long you really notice the smother taste. its much smoother. it will be fine. no more nutes

Thanx for the advice man!!! You have definately convinced me otherwise, I never thought about what the plant stores!!! I will flush tomorrow..

you wont be sorry. it'll be some good smoke. and it will cure properly. After curing the smell will also be affected for the better. its going to be great.

i agree with 1982 about how your plant stores nutes... ive heard this before and heard that you should flush 2 weeks before your harvest and not to add anything besides straight water ... no ph adjuster... no nutes... no ferts.. nothing but straight water for 2 weeks prior of choping the plant because your plant stores everything you put into the water within its buds.. and you dont want to smoke that stuff man
