lowryder 2 under 540watts t5 hydro

Ok, so I just purchased 3 sunblaze light systems.....two 8 bulb,(red) & one 4 bulb,(blue)... what do u think about using two 4' 8 bulb each HO T5 fluorecsent 3000k warm red bulb systems for entire flowering cycle??? (@ 5000 lumens ea bulb, using 16 blubs total, that would equal out to 80,000 lumens, which is also equivilent to a 600HPS, (80,000-90,000 lumens) I also wanna get six 4' single strip HO T5's, (warm red also) and lay those on the floor parallel to the plants in each row for additional side & underneath lighting..as well as four 2' HO T5 6500k daylight single strips in all four corners @ 2000 lumens ea. these will add an additional 38,000 lumens for a total of 118,000 lumens!!! [[i know, i know, @ 54 watts a bulb x 22 warm red bulbs = 1,188 watts...which is more than a 1000HPS....., effiency wise the 1000Hps would be smarter choice and get more lumens, (140,000) "HEAT & FLIR" is MY MAIN CONCERN and is what i am trying to avoid right now!!!!]] which is the main reason for using this type set-up...I am trying to have the lowest radiant heat emmiting in my grow tent, (56" x 56" x 78.75" ie; almost 25sf) growing 20-25 autos in 3 gallon bags,(6.5"w x 7"d x 13"h) that will be in my garage! (btw i live in hot *** S. Fla. the summer is approaching)I am growing "Autoflowering Plants", which will be under 18- 20 hrs of light, using Liquid Light foliar spray,< to magnify light intensity, which makes penatration more intense, as well as these floro's can be placed closer to the tops, (2"-4") than HPS could... and these plants wont get any bigger than 20" - 30" max.. I am looking to get about 1oz-2oz per plant dry. I figured with 22 warm red bulbs @ 5000 lumens ea. {16 on top and 6 on bottom in each row} with 4 daylight blue bulbs @ 2000 lumens ea. in each corner I assume I would get good light penatration from all angles on these small plants??

and yes, i know HPS is better, and I know how to cool the lights, ect, ect, but security is #1 priority where I am currently livin, and i want to go with a 600HPS or 1000HPS but to cool the light, run ducting, ect is too much for now, plus I will still be using garage to park a car, and i dont want anybody to see ducting all over the place....so whatta you peeps think??? will it work?

wow. sounds like a real nice setup...ide think 4 foot flourescnets would cover more surface are when being detected by FLIR then a 1000W. idk. but that would produce nicely with 20-25 plants.... ide take one of the 4 foot grous for flower only and use the other 2 for veg, and get a perpetual garden goin, evry 3 weeks you could prolly get.. Trust me the perpetual garden is in the works, but not right now...as this will be in my personal living space..when i get another, "alternate" place, [THEN] i'll go crazy with 3 more tents simular to this set-up with exotics, autos, mothers/clones and breeding autos!!! The buffers have to do with the ph, not the ppm. And no you really don't need it for soil. But since I got mine I check to see the strength of the mix just for the hell of it.

I used tape (blue painters tape) to put it up first to get it flat. The blue tape holds temporary because it can pull off easy to adjust. Once I get it flat then use something to hold more permanently.

well guys i'll start coming on more often. i'm pissed cause my lowryders are not yielding really anything. they look the same as 2 weeks ago. the hempstars are nearly gone. i couldnt get picks of all of that process because some guys were coming to our house to clean all the ducts and they had to come into my room. so i chopped them all. they were basically done anyways. i still have a nice pile to smoke for awhile but lost about 10 dry grams to burning. but i really dont understand what is up with the lowryders. i'll be on here like usual again. but i'm literally depressed about the lowryders.

well. i am an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!. found out why my plants were dying. i cant believe this. i bought what i thought was ph decrease and it turned out to be buffer 8!!!!. i used my test strips many times and they kept saying 8 and i coldnt figure out why. i checked the ph of the tapwater and it was the usual 6.4. i added the usual dose of what i thought was the right stuff and it went to 8 on my test strips. since i mixed it the same everytime i figured my strips were garbage. after 2 weeks of little growth and dying leaves i went to the petstore and realised i bout the wrong bottle. it looked exactly the same. now i think i may have to right off this lowryder grow if they dont turn around. i'm really dissapointed. but hopefully they will turn around. the dumbess thing i ever did!!!!!!!!!!!! i think i may have ruined them. the leaves are 50% rust and dead due to the crazy mag and cal def. maybe theyll turn around. i'm praying. otherwise i have to start over. i knew it wasnt the lights. man stupid things can happen and due. i just did a res change with the proper stuff and hope to god it will fix them. if not i scored a whopping ounce off 7 plants!!!!. pissed. and depressed. dont even feel like doing anything. lol. feel like i let the plants down. they were doing so good. some of the nicest i had seen. i am beyond upset. we will see what happens. maybe i'll descover that stressing them for 2 weeks and then bringing them back doubles their yield. but i dought it!!!!. seeya and depressed.

i am drying my hempstars now. i got about 2 more dry ounces off them when i picked the whole lot. i have about another ounce and a half curing for the last feew days. and ive smoked about an ounce and sold maybe a half ounce. not to bad i guess. at least i have enough smoke to basically last till i finish another grow. well hopefully. i have pics of them drying. but the site has been slow for me lately. it seems fine now but i didnt even bother to come on lately because i couldnt get the pics to work. here is the drying bud. i'm too pissed to post the lr2s. but this makes me sorta happy. heres the lrs i guess to

Be careful man they will be hitting your stash when you are not home. But they can't light a lighter since they have no thumbs. Sorry to hear about your plants. I hate to say it but it would make your life easier if you had a meter. Might even save some plants. I have problem with 3 of my clones and don't know if they will make it. They have root rot. Flushed and got some Hydroguard but not sure if it's to late. I may just chop them since I have 3 more I will have ready in about a week or less. I haven't had any of this strain yet. But the oldest plant smells so good, but it has hardly anything on it. I will be using the Hydroguard all the time now. I think the root rot goes all the way back to the cloner, to high of temps with no protection. I've read up on the hydroguard and it seems really good. At least you have some weed to smoke while you get going again. Most of my last harvest went to market, got $1200 for a 1/4 lb. Could have got more if I wanted to wait maybe a week but I wat the cash to get another light and also upgrade my 400 to digital. I will add 600 more watts to the closet and have 1000w for a 3x5 1/2 foot space. That should do it.

Oh ya, I've had problems getting on too this past week. I wonder if they have been working on it.

Hey all, went to the nearest hydro store and bought a ph meter, some GH PH Up and PH Down, voodoo juice. Then to Home Depot for another 150 watt cfl and 6" ducting for my 400 watt hid, etc. couldn't resist. I also have coming from e-bay, a single plant hydrosystem for my huge lowryder 2 plant so I can put it in the grow tent where there is more room and better light. Have to take care of those babies. Happy growing all.

oh, 1982, I just checked your update and the hempstars look great! So sorry to hear about your mishap, have a feeling they are going to be alright. have you ever heard of hygrozyme? I'm going to get some, i think its good for flushing and keeping roots clean.

well the thing with the metre is i wouldnt have caught it. my strips were working fine. i just used the wrong bottle. i knew they said it was 8 but just figured they were ruined or something. if i had a metre i would have been calibrating it for 2 hours trying to figure out whats wrong. lol. it just so happens that i didnt notice the side of the bottle for 2 res changes. sucks bad. i tested it with the strips now and its back to around 5.7. so a few days should sow signs of improvement hopefully. i did look at a tds metre with ph at the hydro store for 175. i was going to get it bu didnt want to spend the money since my problem was my own fault. its fully waterproof and shockproof. it looked like a very high quality 1 but i shouldnt need it now. ive now officially dealt with every problem that can come up in growing. until the next new 1. lol. this was a fluke and a dumb mistake. i am working on the perpetual harvest this weekend. putting up the shelf and mounting the lights and exhaust. the duct guys have to come back again but i'll clean everything up and make sure i stand there the wole time. i'll get plenty of airfreshener to. after they are done i will exhaust this stupid cabinet outside. but at least i have a bunch to smoke for now.

wannabee. i have heard of it on this site. never seen it up close. i dont know if theyll pull through. i'm worried. let me know how it works. but next grow i'm going for the same grow as this 1 minus the mistake. i dont even have an opinion of lowryder yet because this grow i'm already writing off in my head. i ave been staring at my plants watching them die for 2 weeks and never notived the bottle. i feel better now that i have an answer. i just thought it was something out of my control. thats the kind of strain i dont want. the hempstars should ave had more pics but it was difficult this week just being busy. plus the site wsnt working for awhile. they def yield well and i didnt lose all that much to the burning. it wasnt nearly as bad s i thought. it was just te leaves dying off from age. so it turned out to be a decent yield. i'll def check out your album tonight. and i have def noticed that the lowryder need slighly lower ph than other plants. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you just made me realize this very second why my hempstars leaves dried a little extra. i used the same bottle!!! wow thats alot of damage that bottle did. my hempstars must have finished in ph8!!. they were finished anyways though. but wow tats alot to find out in 1 day. lol. so 2 grows affected by the bad bottle now!!!!

I was checking out the hygrozme anong with the hydroguard. They both sound like good stuff to have. 1982, you can get a meter a lot cheaper on Ebay. i would use ebay but the seller has to be willing to puit a smaller amount on the reciept. otherwise i'll get hit with duty. i use ebay sometimes and about half the sellers are willing. but if they say they will and dont it could get held at the border so i try to avoid the internet. its always a hassle to get sent to canada otherwise i would right away. when i go to te states next i'll buy 1 there maybe. everything is reg store prices at the hydro shop. kinda sucks. but i get it right away and warranty and i'm scared of getting a made in china 1. lol. but the prob is solved and it should be fine. if i ever get actual nute burn i'l buy 1. hopefully theyll be turned around in a few days. i do use the strips though so i just have to measure nutes by bottle. always works fine. so i hope this res change will solve the prob. it should but it will prob affect yield. sucks for me. plus i have aquarium test kits if i really want to check ppms. but i rarely do. sometimes just for fun. its the kind with the different liquids. its super accurate but takes like 10 minutes to do the first couple of times.

And all the talk of purple plants awhile back reminded me of mine today. i lowered the temps 10 degrees for te last week and my lowryders are turning completly purple. well except for the brown and yellow!!!. but damn they surprised me. the temp thing works well on this strain. i might turn the whole plant purple in the end. i lowered the temps to 83. if i lower them to 63 in te night somehow they ought to really turn purple. but the new growths whole leaves are purple. they look amazing. i'll take pics tomorrow. they dont look like its a def. but the rest look bad.
