can you tell us your PPM schedule from seeding to bloomI have been using lucas for years. Have tried others, but always got biggest yield using Lucas. Dynagro is OK but they use non hydroponic fertilizers thus much of it goes down the drain without ever being used.
Do you use RO waterBTW, I've posted the first correct DIY GH Flora Bloom in the history of hydroponics. If you do the Lucas formula this info should make you quite aroused. Roughly $4 per gallon tops if you buy the salts in 50 pound units. Once again, this is the FIRST correct DIY formula for GH FloraBloom in human history.
385.71 grams Epsom salt
381.12 grams MKP (0-52-34 on the label)
35.66 grams Potassium Sulfate
2977.51 mL warm pure water
Add a solid, shake, repeat three times. Make sure it is dissolved and simply dose it the same exact way you would for the Lucas formula. $4 per gallon tops. You're welcome!
Ya it's pretty badass for a quick off the shelf mixture. Just have to watch that you don't lose any water or your EC will start to rise quick. I don't even check it anymore though, just water it hempy bucket style from the top, until some drains out the side hole.i do the exact same thing. 4:3 micro to bloom from clone till 3 weeks into bloom, then 4:3 bloom to micro the rest of the way. no boosters or additives. change out every 7-8 days. blows shit up.
hmm 4:3 ratio.. I am using 1:2 at the momentt aka the original lucas. Should I switch to your style? Convince me a bit more... as I am having some issuesYa it's pretty badass for a quick off the shelf mixture. Just have to watch that you don't lose any water or your EC will start to rise quick. Works wonders.
Any pure water source will do. It can be distilled, ro, di or ro/di.Do you use RO water
Why Am I the only one having problems with lucas??I use lucas with dyna grow... IMO you cant beat it... I wouldnt grow any other way... Ebb n Flow... 1000 ppm perpetual..
4ml micro to 3ML bloom per liter??? that 16ml mirco to 9ml bloom per galoon??? How are you not getting burn....... I am getting burn at 1/4 Strength Lucas.....I retweaked the Lucas Formula for my own use.
Someone was talking about how the formulations backwards. If you read it, it seems to make more sense that lucas's bloom ratio be used to veg, and vice versa.
Here it is.
If you actually look at the analysis of GH FloraBloom and Flora micro you would see that Lucas was back ass back wards when he came up with his formula. He advised two parts Bloom to one part Micro. If he would have gone with two parts micro and one part bloom he would have gotten a ratio of 3.3, 1.6, 2 but it would have a mess of calcium at 333 ppm. That high calcium would mean that the reservoir s would likely have to be changed out weekly rather than going for weeks or a full grow by just adding water and more nutrients.
So on this advice I tweaked it for myself. I went with a roughly 4:3 Micro:Bloom, at 4ml Micro, and 3ml Bloom a Litre for veg, and reversed it for Bloom.
Which gives you an NPK of roughly 20-15-16 for Veg and 15-20-19 for Bloom
It's a bit heavy on salt, and a little low on Mg, but it gets the job done right off the shelf. Although mine would randomly show slight nitrogen deficiencies from time to time, very slight, like a day or two of light colored leaves.
what kind of gpw are you achieving?I use lucas with dyna grow... IMO you cant beat it... I wouldnt grow any other way... Ebb n Flow... 1000 ppm perpetual..
