that's about right for a full strength veg solution used on an established plant in your medium
if using the grow only, id also add 1/4 tsp or 1 gram per gallon Epsom salt (next time)
you probably wont need to add Epsom when using the bloom or 50/50 mix because the bloom has a higher % of magnesium
so only add the Epsom if your mixing the "grow" by itself
Awesome, thank you so much. I will add the epson when feeding grow only. You might be interested in my story.
Before, I was using a semi teaspoon thing to measure my maxibloom which got me in trouble and gave me 3 years of underfed sickly plants. I bought a $10 gram scale last week and will measure in grams from now on. I was having real issues as you can imagine underfeeding Maxibloom by a considerable amount.
After yet another dismal chop, I decided to go back and look at everything in my grow. I went up in pot size for all plants, I bought more medium, I thought maybe my tap had changed so I bought a new TDS meter to double check. I bought PH test strips thinking it was my PH drops were somehow inaccurate. I thought about changing lights and made some upgrades. I was worried about my perlite/vermicalie being old or contaminated and spent days reading about Coco in case I would need to change. I spent days reading about new nutes and even ordered some Mega Grow. I checked everything and it was fine, until I got to food.
I always wondered why I wasn't getting much bud from 4 months worth of work but was still happy to get some bud at all. I just figured I would be happy with what I got and tossing a lot of yellow leaves. It wasn't until I went back and re-read the Hempy K.I.S.S thread more carefully that I found what I thought "could" be my problem and that time sent me on a hunt to find out more.
"They" say in the K.I.S.S instructions to use 7grams per gallon of Maxibloom from rooted clone to chop which it too much as we now know. Most experienced growers in that KISS thread have cut back to 5g per gallon of MB only and remain less than 750ppm which is near to your numbers as well. You are correct according to them that <7 grams is better and 5g is about as good as it gets for MB only.
The discrepancy in 2 grams per gallon in that thread is what made me search for more info on Maxibloom and that's when I found your NPK thread for Maxi products.
I realized from your thread that in order to be accurate on feeding that I must get a gram scale and feeding a veg and bloom schedule would be better and still a low level of effort. The gram scale and your feeding schedule I believe will be my answer now.
The problem I've had all along is that I've learned everything from reading online. There is a lot of well meaning misinformation out there and sometimes my interpretation of even the correct information has lead to my own incorrect assumptions. HA!
It's easy to grow this stuff once it's dialed in but getting it dialed in takes some trial, and mostly error.
I just watered in 6 rooted clones in 3 gallon pots with the 4.5g Maxigrow and 1 gram of Epson salt. I hope to see an explosion within a few days and will report back my impressions.
Thanks again.
