The operating system is more smooth ill give it that but i know how to fix hiccups so that no big deal for me. I buy on stats
If my Mac has a hiccup I just restart it . It's funny really. The whole operating system is like a game.

Much better than restoring a system update that didn't jive with my hardware ...

I used to do the windows thing. Then I stopped caring so much about computers, got a mac, and haven't actually unplugged my windows machine in over a year to take it out of the room... Still just sitting here next to my laptop .

Or alternatively you could just know what you're doing ;) it's not complicated.

It's my opinion that folk who have all these issues with windows, is because they click on every link and popup they see and don't engage their brain. I'll certainly agree that it's harder to make things go wrong wiht OSX, but the only time windows will go wrong is because of a retarded user who thinks that he'll really get a free ipad if he clicks on each popup

As i say, noone has ever been able to jsutify apple hardware considering that the software can be run on most pc's. Other than a typically decent battery life, the user has paid a premium for a brand name or shiny white design, nothing more.

I built my computer from scratch...with liquid cooling on the CPU, back when that was a thing!... Ran strong for 6 years...

Windows kept installing an update that shouldn't have been installed... Then I got to the point where I couldn't restore back... So I found a temporary work around... But my machine wouldn't boot correctly most of the time...

In reality if I swapped out the 3 HDDs and installed a new OS on a new HDD... I might have been fine... BUT I couldn't be bothered to do all that shit - sorting through all of it and opening my computer for the 1000th time.. So I just got a laptop I could carry around.

Whats the last computer YOU built? ;)

I've never had to use system restore in my life ;) Never bought a computer in my life either. Last computer i built? Well that would be an matx case with a watercooling loop for the cpu and a seperate watercooling loop for the graphics. Here's a spare radiator from a random kitchen drawer ;) Let's just asy i know my stuff when it comes to computers be it macs or otherwise :D This shuttle was rather fun to build :)Thanks to my experience with computers, i am all too aware when people are being robbed blind :) had to go to a mechanics and have him build me a custom rad.sd37p2mods012-1.jpg

This was my setup back in the day...

Ohhh the days of BF2.

Your experience with computers doesn't key you in on the fact that I didn't pay for my MacBook pro. ;)

If I wanted to I could buy a new HDD and install Linux but I can't be bothered as I simply don't require a top-end(in 2006) PC anymore.. And I already have a working computer so buying an additional computer would be senseless:?...thus Macbook pro wins in my case ;)

And you still get popups for free ipads? Get on firefox and some adblock plus I haven't seen a popup or an advertisement since like 2008.

o.k. maybe you geniuses can help me. ;) When I start my mac (even in safe mode) I have the little wheel that goes round and round and the background is blue and it never boots up. I've tried everything I can think of to get it going. I have a hell of lot of money poured into that little piece of shit and I'd like to be able to use it again.

i have a sony zseries and imo, it blows a mac away. it was 1200 but you cant get it for that price anymore. this is a year old. i have SSD and nice video card. it only weighs 3 pounds & has good resultion. i use a lot of graphics programs and it handles them well. i have 4 macs in my home and 4 pcs. i use the linux pc and this vaio. 2 of the other pcs are vaios. ive had hps and dells and they've sucked!!! bbuyer beware on those shitpiles

oh another thing about computers. whether u have a mac or a pc, you need a new one every 3 years or so. macs don't last longer. my macbook pro 15 inch is about 4 years old, it's as bad as my 4 year old pc. they both can't run the bloated software of today. just get the idea out of your heead that computers are lifetime devices, they are not. i replace every few years or i am too behind on technology and it hinders my ability to work. the battery in my 4 year old mac is dead and the battery in my 4 year old vaio is dead lol. thats life.

i have a 12 year old vaio that runs but who would want to use the thing?? i run linux on it but havent booted it in a while.

What's wrong with the HP's and Dells?

Are we strictly talking desktops or laptops? I don't understand you laptop people... desktops are where it's at.

Ahh I got an HP desktop right now and I love it, it was like 2,300 with all of the upgrades though.
Now I'm actually considering getting an iMac whenever they release a new one, I have an old macbook (the white one) that I test sites on and shit but it's really really old.

I'm done with laptops though, hate the things with a passion.

Can you access it in target disc mode?

Can you insert the OS installation DVD and reinstall? Hold c during startup to make the computer boot from it.

...I've worked in design and production for a good portion of my work life. You do not seem to have a proper handle on why mac was built in the first place :) Mac is candy for non-professional users, yes, but you can thank a marketing team for that.

If I had to work with a pc, I'd have to open a plastics recycling facility shortly thereafter.
