macro shot need a hermy confirm

title says it all first time grower, i'm just not sure what this is. Week 8 of flowering, I noticed these things growing out of the buds. Wasn't sure if it was supposed to be there. But I also noticed some seeds around the same time as these tho there are only a couple on the plant. thanks!

that does look like a pollen sack a bit hard to see tho..if you only find one or two of these your likely ok maybe ten seeds or less...if you see that in every bud thats horrible because your plant may have been fully seeded and it happened late so the plant wont finish when it should and is now going to spend all its available energy making seeds instead of herb

Yep, pollen possibly on the way. I would chop it, I wouldn't deal with nanners that early in flower.

yea bud u got a hermie on ur hands, if the male flowers r just now poppin out at wk.8, depending on what kinda strain u are growing, seeds wont have time to form, let me be more clear, if u are growing a indica dominant or hybrid and plan on harvestin it within a week or so u prolly wont have to many formed seeds in ur bud, seeds take alittle while to form and become mature, now if ur strain is gonna flower longer ul prolly have a bunch of premature seeds in ur buds, now if this isnt the first pollen sack and there was sum that opened earlier and u didnt notice them then ul prolly have more seeds in ur bud, if its the only plant in the room then gently remove the male pollen sacs and keep a close eye for anymore and if u see anymore remove them but finish out ur plant, now if u have alota plants in that room id chop that hermie down today so u dont add anymore pollen on ur other plants, what strain is this? did u start from a feminized seed? also check ur room for light leaks cause even the tiniest light leak will cause hermies, iz all good tho brotha dont beat ya self up over it weve all had a hermie or two pop out on us, jus figure out what caused it and fix that problem before u start ur next grow

kbs....the seeds might not form all the way but those tiny ass started seeds that can make it into a bunch of pistils will turn the taste to crap..and i mean before what your calling premature seeds, even as specs if they are throughout the plant it may still be ruined only one way to find out chop dry and cure and see what ya got

yup dont chaance it one bit trust me and the others here telling u its a hermie 4 shore , i had the same problem and i ended up ruining persay my whole grow, try and maybe put it outside or seperate it from ur other healthy females if u have any , if not fuck it better have some weed w/ seeds then none at all

thanks everyone. It was from bag seed, this was my second attempt. My first were all sour diesel seeds and all 3 were male. This attempt I had 4 females out of 4 but I am moving soon so I left the tent in the crawl space slightly unzipped so I could fit a couple more lights in there cuz I figured upping hte lightage might help progress development and have them finished before I move out. I guess there was some light leaks, cause I noticed these growing as soon as I had the tent only half way zipped up. The other three are not as progressed as this one, but are also in the tent. I will check for signs of more hermies.

I was not aware even the slightest light could do that. What happens in the wild when there is moonlight? does that not affect the plants turning hermaphrodite? Thanks for all the responses everyone!

unfortunately that is not the only site they are growing, they are starting to herm all over the plant. My lights come on in about 2 hours, I guess I'll just kill it and see if its smokable. Only about 15-20% of the pistils are red. I guess Ill chop a leaf off and take a look at the trichromes later today.

ya plus picking it wont help you can see in the pic its already blown open.....to be honest man if you find all your plants have hermed you may as well allow them to finish growing cuz the bud you pull off now might be crap, depends how close to done they were, but either harvest now or wait it out dont harvest in a week or so or you will have bud riddled with white premature seeds and that is the worst case scenario...if the other three arent herming for sure kill the bad one and it was either genetics or light leaks...make sure to fix any light leaks and those females may be fine and just have a couple beans possibly from the hermie
