Whatsup guys,
I'm a CA patient and a caregiver for 6 patients and I just moved into a new house and I'm looking for some AC ventilation advice, any help would be much appreciated. Here's my setup:
Room 1 Sealed Veg Room: I am running 2 4ft 8 bulb T5's. This is a sealed room in the front of my house and I am running these lights 18/6 at night. This room without AC is getting up to 90 degrees. My problem is that I have the window blocked off and I am using my central AC. This is a newer house but for some reason there is very weak airflow going to that room. I have to constantly keep it on or turn it off for an hour at a time and the room will get down to 77 after being on for a few hours. I have closed off the other vents on that floor hoping that more airflow will be going to the room. This is a HUGE waste of energy because it is not doing much and it is cooling down that floor (really cold) when it does not need to be cooled down. I might try a register booster fan but there are too many mixed reviews on them. I have a portable AC unit but I do not want to open up that window because it is in the front of the house. I think the central AC going to that room is week because the duct is so long. Anything I can do? Should I just say fuck it and put the portable hoses up to the window? I don't have neighbors across the street.
Room 2 Sealed Flower Room: Ok, I had major problems with the Active Air 14,000 BTU AC with just running 2400 watts. Those things are crap for sealed rooms. This room is also in the front of the house and I do not want anything hanging out that window, or opening it up to shove the portable hoses against the window. The central AC going to that room has the SAME problem weak airflow. So, I have invested in a 24,000 watt Split System AC. I want to turn the digital ballasts up so I am running 4k watts. My problem with this room is that I have to install the Split System still and my HVAC buddy just finally got into the Union working 12 hours a day and hasn't been able to drive 30 min to my house to install it. He's been holding it off because it's going to be a bitch installing it because we have to run 20-30 feet of line.
The Split System I got is pre-charged and ready to go after checking for leaks and hooking it up. Should I just install it myself watching YouTube videos? Flowering is way past due and it just sucks man. Any advice would help.
Thanks guys.
