I'm beginning to understand why @UncleBuck keeps calling you stupid. We will see. I dont believe co2 is a pollutant. It has gone up much more in our industrial age but yet the temp increase and sea height level increase is constant each year.
SMOGS in Cali are merely revenue collection demonstrated by the aforementioned freight liners and the CADMV.do argue just to do so ?
Wait are you saying smog is not real ?SMOGS in Cali are merely revenue collection demonstrated by the aforementioned freight liners and the CADMV.
Currently, smog inspections are required for all vehicles except diesel powered vehicles 1997 year model and older or with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVWR) of more than 14,000 lbs, electric, natural gas powered vehicles over 14,000 lbs, motorcycles, trailers, or gasoline powered vehicles 1975 and older.
How's the smog level in counties that don't require smog inspections like Lake and Humboldt?
For those who would actually like to know, the vast majority of air pollution in and around Long Beach is generated by diesel engines in the trucks at the port, and coming and going from it. The ships themselves contribute only a tiny fraction of the total.I would have this one with you IRL. The freight liners burn what for fuel again?
Nope. Only that smogging your Honda helps jack shit.Wait are you saying smog is not real ?
CO2 is not a pollutant!China is a steak.
Unplug from the MSM!
That's why I took a snip from the CADMV above. For those who would actually like to know, the vast majority of air pollution in and around Long Beach is generated by diesel engines in the trucks at the port, and coming and going from it. Electric trucks with swappable batteries are coming.
oh ok. I thought you were saying smog was not real.Nope. Only that smogging your Honda helps jack shit.
One Honda, probably not. Every car in the LA Basin? Another story.Nope. Only that smogging your Honda helps jack shit.
already here, the money is in the oilThat's why I took a snip from the CADMV above.
The diesel/electric train hybrids are a good solution that could have been implemented a LONG time ago. It baffles me why these Prius drivers are so proud of their Rube Goldberg machines.
On a side note, the "perfect electric" is coming soon......soon.......soon.......we've been hearing this since around, what; 1920?
Had to look that up. Its corollary is also excellent food for thought.it's just mind boggling that these people think they have any insight to add.
dunning-kruger effect in full force here.
Stop by the Tesla Motors website. It may not be 'perfect', nothing ever is, but what that car doesn't do, you don't need. That's why I took a snip from the CADMV above.

I'm looking forward to a fully electric Kenworth prototype. Truckers think they have some torque now, heh heh, just wait...already here, the money is in the oil
It's tears on a river and really a stupid system going on in Cali. @ttystikk identified the main polluters and its not the average poor person that has to smog their hoop ride.oh ok. I thought you were saying smog was not real.
every little bit can help. or just let every car go unchecked ?
The story is revenue collection. I hope you're right one day and all cars are SMOG exempt but can you tell me what the car in Shasta county contributes to LA smog? One Honda, probably not. Every car in the LA Basin? Another story.
how many broken down vehicles do you have sitting in front of your trailer? It's tears on a river and really a stupid system going on in Cali. @ttystikk identified the main polluters and its not the average poor person that has to smog their hoop ride.
I can't replace the engine in a Samurai with a more efficient, less polluting one. Only the OEM options. A Chevy Vortec V-6 will drop right in with minimum tweeks, but its no bueno according to CADMV in LA.

You mean the perfect electric is already here? The EV1 should be parked in any driveway that wants one right now. The Free Market wanted that car BAD. Where's it at now? In a museum with the battery missing.already here, the money is in the oil
I saw that busted little dodge dart or whatever it is, that the one that won't start when you visit the park?how many broken down vehicles do you have sitting in front of your trailer?
