hmmm. maybeeee.. idk tho. i heard the cold water and ice is was makes the crystals "frail" and break off easily.. soo i would think the hot water would have the opposite effect.. but im not 100% sureeeee.

lol. ummm at shaws in the candy isle they have cotton candy for 99 cents. adn i bought a coupe of those and ate the cotton candy.. the the coffee filter happened to sit on there perfectly! lol. soo i just sit it in there and let it drain. a peanut butter jar or sumthin similar might work too tho if u cant find the cotton candy.

Great post......Worked like a charm, my only mistake was using too much water.

Quality in buzz, appearance and taste was superb though. I used about an Oz of trim and got about 1.75-2 grams of top quality hash. I'll never do ISO hash again, worlds apart in quality.

I took 3 nice hits and was rocked, Im impressed.

that was a 7gram ball i think? was the 1st of 2 runs got another 7gram ball on the second run not reusing the 1st run but with new trim, we done it in 2 runs cause it was the 1st time makin gumby.

this pic is not mine but i would love to no how to make hash like this? do ya fink it made by using obscene amounts of kief in the water/ice extraction ?

i prefere the honey oils method using butane gas its done and ready to smoke in under 5mins

yeaa u can try using it again... u can even keep the trimmings after u already sstirred it up and everything.. adn put them back in the water u drained out already.. and mix it up again.. or even put it in like a peanut butter jar and shake it up for about 5-10 min. adn then re-drain... adn im sure youll end up with a lil bit more

I wish you would've showed the making of hash ball 2 and then 3 with the jar. those pics were also very beneficial

i use a different method.
a gold coffee filter is 125 micron.
a blender that causes cavitation makes bubbles that, when they pop, exert a tremendous ammount of force on objects in close proximity. this helps knock trichs off.
blended ice turns into little frozen blades that knock trichs off.
blend on high for 8 seconds your: ice, filtered water, frozen trim.
run though the gold coffee filter.(into a bowl)
allow to settle in the fridge for an hour or so.
pour the water off the top (carefully).
run though a coffee filter.(paper this time)
lightly press and allow to dry before final press.
the OP should have got about 3x the yield off of that much trim of that quality.

Just wanted to thank you for putting the hash tutorial up. I am gonna give it a shot *hopefully* tomorrow. Gotta make brownies today. BTW, you used 14 gr of trim...how much hash did it yield? Just wonderin...Thanks again!

thanks man. =) its nto too hard... but towards the end it takes a while.. letting the water go thru the paper coffee filters.... it u can get a bigger filter. it will help ALOT more! adn make sure not to use too much water.. or youll be kickin urself! ive heard alott ppl will let the mixture set (after youve put it thru the big strainer adn coffee filter) and let all the hash settle at the bottom... and will then take out alot of the water on top very carefully without disturbing the hash sitting on the bottom of the pan... and will do this until there only a lil bit of water left... soo that way its just basically hash with like a 1/2 inch or less of water. which makes it alot easier... since u only have to pour a lil bit of water. just be careful to NOT disturb the stuff at the bottom.

and honestly man.. i wish i weighed it out after i did it. =/ i got a ball about the size of a nickel i'd say.. it was a lil while ago. soo its hard to remember.. but i wanna say roughly around that much. good luck man! if u have any question u can w/b on here.. or PM me

From what i was told by someone i know was that it turns black or stays sand depending on the pressure u put on it inbetween filtering and draining the remaining water.. light pressure you get the sandy hash where as lots of pressure releases the oil on the thc causing black hash.. both are decent.. just 1 is more oil based and makes u cough a ton in my experience thats all..

hey man hows it going, i made hash last night using your method ( thank you btw ). Im on the last process so i let it sit over night an its still not finished. I see some thick yellow resido when i dumped the water to see if there was any hash on the bottom but im not sure if thats the hash an i let it dry out or what?
