Making tincture easy and efficiently?

OK right on!
Another question about making it efficiently. I have 4 oz I want to convert into tincture this way.
All the guides I see, use a few grams at a time in the ISO.
  1. Is there a reason for that?
  2. Like can I just load up all 4 oz (or 2 sets of 2 oz to if that gets a little big), swish it around and extract it all?
  3. How much iso/everclear do you need per oz?
  4. Is there a limit to how much it can absorb?

I've been considering buying the magic butter machine, now you've given me 1 more reason :)

It works great, just like the magic butter machine.

I've made so far

MCT tincture
Coconut Oil
Everclear tincture..... poured over sugar, let it evaporated, now I have canna sugar
also made canna honey with local honey...

I have made lots of gummies so far..... the coconut Oil gummies are the kicker..... what is it about coconut oil that kicks ass over anything else? I know the funny fats that coconut oil has......

I also made some kicker anti-inflammatory gummies..... tart cherry juice, lemon juice, local infused honey...... now that is some awesome anti-inflammatory stuff there

We can't get alcohol above 120 proof here in CA so I make my "tinctures" (technically its an infusion because its oil) with MCT oil using mason jars and a pressure cooker. I've never had it tested but apparently it works quite well. MCT oil is unlike other oils because it heads straight to your liver where you body can break it down and allow the THC to cross the blood brain barrier and get you faded. 1ml under the tongue and you're faded in mins. Plus it doesn't burn like alcohol.
I made this too...... super good

When I use the magical butter machine, it grinds it super fine, how do I get the taste to be less offensive?
according to what I have read that depends upon the temp that you decarb at..... if you decarb at 240 there will be less canna taste?

Does the MCT oil version hit you faster than butter does? I'm intruiged! Cooking in oil is so easy but I like the ramp up speed that i think tincure will give me :)

I've heard it does. I don't actually use cannabis. I just like growing it and making things for friends :p . The people that have tried it told it hits really quickly (within a few mins) when left under the tongue like a tincture. If its eaten it should theoretically hit faster than butter because of the way MCT oil is digested.

So one thing I enjoy about making weedbutter or QUISO is being able to seperate out all the gross weedness from the THC (like by having water in your butter mix that you seperate off). Can you do the equivalent with MCT. I've eaten MCT but I'm not sure if I can freeze it solid and google was not helpful :(

I'm going to have to look up how to do this in pressure cooker. I usually make cannabis infused coconut oil in my slow cooker but I don't find it very efficient.

how does it compare to the ardent cannabis machine or the Levo?

I'm going to have to look up how to do this in pressure cooker. I usually make cannabis infused coconut oil in my slow cooker but I don't find it very efficient.
Put weed in a mason jar. place sealed mason jar in pressure cooker. fill cooker with some water. run it for an hour to decarb weed. let it cool, crack open the same mason jar and fill it with enough MCT oil to cover the weed. put the lid back on the jar and put it back in the pressure cooker for a couple hours. strain out the solids and enjoy infused oil!
