Male Or Female ?

It's been a long awaited process for my first time growing and ended up vegging out 3 plants. I put them into flower about a week ago and I am uncertain if this is a male or female it is my first time growing so don't get to harsh lol

yep that ones definitely a male.
you can tell by the balls (sacs) that are growing instead of buds starting to form.
like a female early flower will look like a single ball with long white hairs coming out a male early flower will be a droopy ball as you can see around the bottom node on your picture.

yes that other picture is female (aslong as you don't stress her out shell stay female).
if you stress plants enough in flower even if they show sign of female they can still turn out hermies.
you can either pull the males and kill them or grow them in a separate area for pollon.

What do you mean by "stressing" too much heat nutrients ect..? And thanks for the advice it's always good to know these things before those pollen sacks pop lol

well that's it, it only takes a bit of wind to pollonate the whole grow area.
by transplanting them, by extreme humidity/heat fluctuations, not watering for a few days, pruning the wrong parts or pruning too much of the wrong parts will stress the plant too.
Your probably better off worrying about trying your best not to HARM the plants in any un-necessary way rather than trying not to stress your plants because aslong as you care about them its hard to stress them.

if any of those things caused one of my plants to hermie, I would say it was shitty genetics and the stress just brought that out. Normal quality genetics don't just hermie over a little stress

Sorry one of the 3 is a male, but as dopeleader said, you could grow it out in a separate area for the pollen and use it to get yourself some seeds for future grows. Do you know the strain or was it bagseed? Growing it out for pollen might be a bit much to deal with if it is your first grow, but thats your call really. I can't stress enough the need for a totally separate spaces and CLEANLINESS... You can't let any of the pollen get to the other plants, unless you put it there. Pollen can stick to clothes, shoes, hands and tools so if you decide to save the male, make sure everything is clean before you go into the space with your females. There are plenty of threads here on this and some very knowledgeable members or for light reading, http://www.growweedeasy.com/advanced-breeding-techniques and or http://howtogrowmarijuana.com/how-to-pollinate-cannabis-plants/ ... so what about your 3rd plant, is it female? Good luck with the grow, remember any female plant that gets you smoke-able bud is a good grow, especially the first time... Keep up the good work and happy growing.. bongsmilie

And just to add to what dopeleader said the biggest no no light leak don't let light interrupt their beauty sleep, ever while in veg you'll have harmies for sure!

Thanks everyone for the insights I decided to chop him down and not take any chances. I am happy I will have buds with my two other female plants and if this one is a success I will plan to grow something better then just a bag seed!
