If I had me a nice little grow going and bought me a nice taxi I would be pretty happy back in Detroit. Unless I got killed, then it would suck.
i always thought driving a cab would be a pretty sweet job, but then i saw taxi driver, plus too many drivers get shot, killed and shit doing that anymore, i can only imagine what detroit must be like as i've never been, but i saw it on tv once.. :)

the way Detroit is looking, it should be pretty easy to get passed.
I predict that this will pass and I'm serious about that!! Maybe Detroit property values will increase by over 1% as as result as well.

Hey PPLAYER- what the heck happened to the New Jersey forum? Do u think it's inactive because tge medical law there is compromised? curious about what happened to jersey??

There is absolutely no reason this should not pass. Detroit is so fucked up, this could be what turns it around. The casinos need to put a $10 million dollar campaign on this shit, that just took a hit with Ohio opening casinos. People will be flying in for games and blazing down. Bet my ass will be in Detroit. I would absolutely love to witness marijuana build up a great city that crack cocaine and heroin destroyed.

Yea, i believe so. It completely fell through and some of the towns don't want it in their "city". I'm waiting to see what the lawsuit against the DHHS will bring. On a side note though, the man who was arrested for having 17 plants in his backyard got released

If you dont smoke bud and you live in Detroit, you're odd. I think 8 out of 10 blaze in the city. This should easily pass.

You should check it out sometime. Parts of it look like a war zone. There are some nice spots but if you wanted to plan the right route you could walk in a straight line through ghetto for miles upon miles. Driving into Detroit from the north you can see numerous 17 story buildings with every single window smashed. The last time I checked you could still buy houses for a few hundred dollars. I was just down there a few weeks ago and I always find it amazing! I just read on one of these threads that there is over 36 square miles of abandoned neighborhoods. A lot of downtown is nice well kept business areas right next to burnt up spray painted buildings.

The law is a step in the right direction, but it is still not that big of a deal. You can have 1 ounce of mj in your personal residence. So you can not walk down the street with it, drive with it, go to a friends house with it, have mj in a hotel etc etc etc. Just YOUR house and thats it. Ann Arbor has a great MJ law, you can possess up to two ounces ANYWHERE you want.

Also I could see this bill losing. I am from the Detroit area and know for a fact that everyone who votes in Detroit is a 60-90year old female African American baptist church goer. They are not fans of MJ by any means.

You guys are right in saying that a majority of Detroit residents would want to pass this, but a majority of the people in Detroit do not vote.

hockey I didn't want to point out that obvious negative point. But that is the entire problem. I not home sick and did a semester of college in Detroit to switch shit up. I helped originally vote in Mayor Bing, hoping for a change and not wanting shrek to continue Detroit in same direction. (ya, I see where that got us). Anyway that was the biggest election in Detroit in quite a long time. At like noon, me and belle were the 4th and 5th people to vote. The volunteers couldn't believe how many people didn't vote. And we were on Outer Drive on the east side!! The people left in Detroit just don't give a shit. Problem is Michigan as a whole is getting the same way, just not as bad obviously. but the smart ones left years ago. Steady lines of Uhauls leaving Detroit, and then Michigan. If I am going to move back to Detroit at some point I better get a place and register to vote in Detroit again.

and the problem is people from Detroit keep voting for gangsters cuz they is gangster, but it makes shit worse....i know cuz i voted for a couple gangsters for mayor :-( fuckn kwame you lil westside Joy Boy! you tricked me! im sorry we also need 2 get over the HAVING 2 have a black mayor, why dont we pick our mayor on his credentials instead of the fact that hes black like the majority of the city? thats not racist thats just the truth ive voted 4 black mayors....when its the right guy, not jus cuz hes black. Detroit like 88-90% Black and im sorry but black people always vote for the black guy every fucking time n then cry when their city falls apart.....

I think Detroit is finely ready to let some white people come back. It isn't just race though. For one of my classes I would go downtown and sit in on the city council meetings. Those mother fuckers are crazy!! The city council (whoever they are) and the mayor (whoever it happens to be) can not work together for a damn thing. That stupid shit right there has cost the city dearly for decades. More than the corruption even. When people took handouts atleast they still worked and did shit. But the pettiness between the two departments puts even the most routine on hold.

and PS weed has been legal in Detroit since before it was legal in Michigan, i remember get flicked with a pound bag of some Reggies back about 8 years ago n the police jus askn where the real dope n the guns were at and jus kept it moving. or when we got flicked smoking down in a stolen car (i didnt know it was stolen) and the Detroit cops told us "you know that car doesnt belong 2 you, now get it and your stupid fuckin stoned asses out of my city" that 2 me is like legal, i caught a weed charge in 36th district court like 5 years ago, the judge didnt even acknolege it, she jus dropped it strait away n i payed 100$ for the courts time n my warrant fee n walked out without a charge.

..been pulled over a few times in Detroit, blazing down and open intox. No tickets!! lol. They do not like liars though. Belle has been pulled over blazing in Detroit too. No tickets. With her, the police were laughing there asses off. Seriously. They messed with her for about ten minutes and say that she could have smoked them under the table and still drive fine. lol. She sped up to beat a train or some shit on 7 mile toward Van Dyke. She said she was on her way to work at Capers. She said she thought they were gonna finish the joint with her. lmao. That is what I love about detroit. When you are not a junkie and you do not have a visible firearm, they are happy as hell that you are not committing violent felonies.
