The arguement is; can marijuana and marijuana only harm you.
I.E. I sit down and drink a texas mickey of whiskey = harm, I sit down and smoke a ounce of weed = no harm, sleep?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and state that most likely a few have died throughout the years ,where Mmj was a contributing factor . To state absolutely that 0 people have died I think would be misleading ,,,
Mmj can do some harm to someone who is unhealthy to begin with
An example of this could be damage to your cardiovascular system from increased blood pressure or rapid heart beat .....so a lot depends on your current state of your health. Like any drug there are side effects ... But for the most part ,I would think its a safe as a drug can be for those who are relatively healthy to begin with

i see what your saying, but why has no medical institution or university ever recorded a single death DIRECTLY attributed to smoking ?

when it happens for the first time they will report it but to date, no one has died directly from smoking marijuana...that we know of. Wonder what this "gov't" weed will do to change that.ppl. will be dropping like flies from all that radiation n shit.

"Deaths due to cannabis use are usually accidents that are not caused by the substance, but to the circumstances of use.”Leune added the dangers of marijuana were “exaggerated” and it was less harmful than alcohol or tobacco.It estimated that three million people in Germany used cannabis.According to the study, one of the men who died was an athletic 28-year-old found dead by his girlfriend next to an ashtray containing cigarette paper and marijuana. The autopsy found that there were no pre-existing medical conditions.The second case was a healthy 23-year-old man.Benno Hartung from the University Hospital in Düsseldorf said he and his colleagues performed autopsies and toxicological tests to rule out other causes of death such as liver disease and alcohol use.“It’s a diagnosis of exclusion so you have to rule out all other possibilities,” Hartung told New Scientist.Hartung claims that the two deaths from cardiac arrhythmia were directly the results of cannabis use, with marijuana apparently causing a sudden change in heartbeat.The 36-year-old admitted it was “a very rare event” but recommended that other researchers now investigate deaths involving marijuana.“Even though it may be rare, I hope others investigate death by cannabis intoxication in other cities. Particularly in light of the increased use of cannabis.

Those are the one's that I love, hypocritical alcoholics that look down on you because you smoke, eat, or drink pot. Particularly the alcoholics that drive after "only a few drinks", or turn nasty, beat their kids/wife's or treat them like shit when they're drunk. Yeah, I'm a pot head, and proud of it thanks. Same goes for the hypocritical "straight" pharma med junkies, yeah, those pills and all their side-effects are much better than using something natural, whatever...

my father is an alcoholic. was never violent towards me, but says that me liking my ganja is the same as him drinking. he knows damn well its not, as i don't smoke nearly as much as he drinks. he used to smoke a lot when he was younger and also knows that cannabis is safe and not physically addictive. what he does is use it as a scapegoat to make himself not seem so bad. and you will find that most alcoholics and politicians do the same.

Isn't that the most fucked thing. The government happily sells booze while throwing MJ dissidents in the can. This hypocritical thinking makes me the most angry of all things. The nerve of them to allow themselves to intoxicate themselves whilst sickeing the law on you. Grrrrr that is war to me!!

hes been doing really well the last couple years actually! but addiction is a demon. i have had issues with addiction in the past, the famous "legal medications" (dilaudid, aka synthetic heroin, oxys..) but quit and straightened my life out, and i honestly have cannabis to thank for it. withdrawals are awful, but marijuana made them not so bad, it helped with cravings, and for the longest time i didn't do any drugs at all, not even pot. it actually got me completely clean. when people call cannabis a drug, i say, i've done drugs, and weed is not a drug.
