Marijuana Smoking

Hello, I would like to start smoking Marijuana because of my anxiety,Depression, and Bad nerves. However when I smoke it puts me in cartoon land, everything seems animated. This happenend with two different strains of marijuana. Any tips?

This is a serious post, so pplease give me serious answers.

They were probably heavy Sativa strains, I would suggest something more Indica to calm.
