MEAN WELL driver

Hi

Grow room
Grow area 2ft d, 4ft w, 7ft h.
T5 4f 54w ho 8 tubes.
exhaust fan 6".
Oscillating Tower Fan
inkbird temperature controller.
Inkbird humidity controller.
greenhouse tube heater 4ft.
3 autopots.
(Maximum Grow Area Height 5ft.)


I have done some research into LED strips and this is what I have bought.

SI-B8V521560WW 4 strips 3000k.
SI-B8U521560WW 4 strips 3500k.
Mean well driver 480w.

Driver do I need to buy a multi meter to fine tune strips, or could I use Digital Voltage Volt Current Meter Panel Power Energy. 61IFVcOJSXL._SX425_CN or a LCD Digital Volt Voltage Wattage Power Meter Switch Analyzer Energy Meter Socket. see attached photos.
Because if I use one of these it easier to keep an eye on things like wattage. From what I have seen on YouTube it's all about setting current, that is if I have understood correctly

All looks good to me.... Seems a meter like that would be ideal, for dialing in the current desired.
Ill tell you one thing, you could potentially brown your trousers, when you see the amount of light that thing will pump into a space that size.

This one does fine to set it up as it measures the output on the DC side. 5-150V, 20A. Comes with a thermal probe.

That's exactly what I was thinking of mounting it in a junction box, is yours on a shelf inside your grow room, because I just can't make it out light shining through wood.

Driver, At the moment am not too sure whether to put driver inside or outside grow room because of heat.

Got a couple of question if you don't mind.
1. I see your timer, when lights are off does your energy tester go off because of back light display.

2. Your black switch been looking for 2 of them but the ones that light up, can you tell me the name of them.
these will be mounted outside grow room will be wired after timer.

3. Health and safety, being told by everybody these lights are very BRIGHT can you recommend good glasses.

The junction box is on the outer side of the veg box



Mains go to the switch, then timer and then driver. Display is on the DC side of the driver (output) and below is the potentiometer for dimming. Those switches are easy to be found cheap on amazon, mostly rated for 250V/10A or so. The display is powered by the driver so it goes off when the light goes off.

Regarding safett glasses, I'm not using any. I also don't look ito lights while im in there.
