Megacrop

Looks like a good deal. I would estimate about $30+ less than I paid from the US, and I can get it in 2-3 days instead of 2-3 weeks, sweet. Wish I needed some as I would like to try the new formula.
I'm not seeing any real difference in my plants with the old versus new formula. So I'd feel confident that using the version 1 is still the way to go. I mixed my version 1 and 2 together for veg. Working very well.

Good idea welding that angle iron for a frame..Someone else here said a cookie sheet heat sink for strips that would work pretty damned good too.

So is it setup that you've got an 8-10" netpot LID with hydroton, the roots grow down into the open air, which is kept moist by multiple feedings a day? The return water goes back to res?

Net pot are the biggest you get for 5 gallon bucket ,I feed 24/7 ,gravity takes nutes to res

MC has all the extras that you have to buy separate.y with Jack's, like Cal/Mag, etc. So no, its not cheaper. Go look at Megacrop's list of ingredients, you'll se why you need nothing else.

I have heard that some people use jack's nutrients. Just wondering how it compares to MC?

I ask because you can buy an 11kg bag of jack's 20-20-20 for $80 which is cheaper than the Canadian MC price.

But will you get fatter denser nugs using the PK Bud Explosion ?

And in RO water, cal mag would be needed.

I'm running MC 2.0 with no extras. For the plants using MC 1.0, I add 30-40 ppms of cal/mag, nothing else. I've had some very nice results.

Not with MC 2.0. yes with 1.0. But not a lot, I only add 30-40 ppms of cal/mag per batch. I've not experienced a cal/mag problem without it but it is cheap insurance.
Can you run with just MC ? No additional supplements?

If so that is a lot easier and a lot cheaper.

And I don't use "bud enhancers" I prefer to not use growth hormones and that's what is in those products. The added PK does nothing there is enough already in most nutrient lines.

So in RDwC using RO you wouldn't need calmag even?

It came in the mail today. Pretty quick. Is it liquid in the bag it feels really weird. I will open it when i use it. I am tucking it away for grow tents 2.0
