Meijui Bar Light Question

Also, I don't shop at Walmart. Nor have I ever called it Wally World. Walmart is one of the worst large companies to ever exist.
Good job. When I can help it I prefer not to repeat the names of companies that commit crimes against humanity on a daily basis to drive profits hence the "wally world" reference. The Walton family is about as bad as the Trump family. Horrid human beings doing horrid things to other human beings. Oh, we better get this in the political section. God forbid I upset Mr. Dawson's delicate lady like sensibility.

From quality HPS bulbs that have been used with success for countable years to a new LED Chinese manufacture taking second hand Samsung diodes. There is a difference yes. I would like to see the difference.

Unlike you I talk to these suppliers every single day.

You're definitely a winner with the women. I can tell. I wonder if your plants are as lame as you.

Mouth breather.

I have a Meijui 650 on the way. (Thank you China!) I dont buy into that patriotic bs. Im a smart consumer, always looking for a deal. If the deal comes from China or BumFuc Egypt so be it. I woulda bought my new flower light here in the states but it woulda cost $1700 for something comparible. (I paid $670 shipped.) I can understand brand loyalty and all that stuff, but thats just easy math.

I got the A8 version becasue it was about $150 less than the F8. The A8 is broken down and needs to be assembled before use. The F8 is foldable and has more diodes than the A8. F8 is pre assembled, bigger and thus the more expesive price tag, as it cost more to ship. Youtube has several videos up of the A8 being assembled. I went withh the 3000k as the light is only for flower. I read that the 3500k is for if you want to use the light to veg as well...

And the truth shall set you free! Thanks for clearing up what your "angle" on that comment was.

I was planning to fly to China and just give out free hand jobs to sales reps so I could really be in-the-know and get the hard information straight from the source.

How long have you been sitting on that gem? My goodness I don't know how I'll sleep tonight for someone has forsaken me by calling my plants and I "lame." I'll do my best to avoid any tall bridges today or large bodies of water.

Also I don't think heat issue is a solid reason to switch. Just circulate your room better :eyesmoke: :peace:

Would help to know the space of your room or see pics
Already have fans blowing the heat off my tree tops... Really I should have turned the lights down, but too late now. And what's the benefit of adding a light only to turn the wattage down???

The way I see it, I'll probably recoup my cost in bulbs and electricity in a year or two. If you think about it, over the life of the LED, it will pay for itself in bulbs, and electrical savings over that time is just icing on the cake. No more changing bulbs, get rid of the ducting, don't have to upgrade AC, reduced AC costs, more even lighting, keep the lights closer to the plants, etc. Plus my ballast are old, so there is a chance I would be replacing them before too long. With LED, I think I'm going to switch to a closed room and add CO2.

I've been doing this a while and I'd consider myself a pretty accomplished grower. I'm used to my tops looking like BKs, but right now mine are heat stressed. I'm finally starting to see LED grows that live up to the claims that the LED companies have been making for years (~same light output as HPS at ~70% the wattage). I've seen 2 grows using Gavitas and I like what I saw. BK is clearly killing it. It's good to redo the grow every-so-often and see what improvements can be made.

Don't try to explain logic or reality to the MAGA crowd. It'll just take time and energy away from you that you'll never get a return on. People that make those anti-china comments are often the biggest consumers of Chinese made goods. They just buy their Chinese goods at wally world or Amazon instead of Alibaba. I guess that makes them feel patriotic to purchase their Chinese made goods from an American company that pays no federal income tax. Feel empathy for their small mindedness.
Everybody is buying Chinese goods - they make everything, so we have no choice. Even stuff that's made in the US is often really made in China. That said, I'm glad Trump started a trade war - it's not cool to give the 2nd biggest economy unfettered access to our economy when they refuse to open theirs up to US.

They don't make your pre-rolls. It's illegal for china to manufacture pre-roll cones.
