well isnt that about the stupidest shit ever heard. did the addict not have the "choice" to become an addict? some people gotta sell dope to provide for themselves and family. i cant think of a good reason to shoot dope though. bottom line the dealer or the user shouldnt go to jail. rehab for the junkie, and job skill training and work opprutunity for the hustler

meth and heroin ruins live. if youre a user i dont think you should be locked up...but if your cooking meth, or importing heroin, you need to be dealt with.

Think about it this way, though:
People get addicted to food, sex, gambling, the internet, shopping, and pretty much anything under the sun that feels good, right? Just because it can be abused, doesn't make it inherently "evil".
methamphetamines and opiates have "accepted medical uses", which is why most of them are Schedule II drugs here in the US. The fact that these drugs are illegal to consume for recreational purposes and closely regulated make them difficult to obtain in a pure form. This leads to all sorts of bathtub chemistry which only increases the hazard, not only of manufacturing the drug, but of consuming it.
The truth is, *most* people who use drugs don't become addicts, and most of the negative consequences of drugs are a direct result of their legal status.
Drug prohibition has nothing to do with public safety. Addiction shouldn't be a legal issue, it should be a health issue. If people were able to obtain pharmaceutical quality drugs at a correct dosage and consume them without fear of prosecution, I believe a great deal of the danger would be removed from the equation.

The dealer is not addicted to the trade. The addict IS addicted to the drug the dealer sells. There's a difference. yes, the addict is a victim. The dealer is the enabler for profit, and this depravity makes them the dregs of society. There is nothing crueler than taking advantage of helpless ppl. That's what H dealers do.....
I'm all for weed being decrim'd...... but that's it. The other stuff is a poison on society and should never be encouraged.

The government could care less about what we are doing with our body! it's a money thing, the budget allowed to the war anti drug justifies the existence of many corrupt fockers without counting the maintenance of the correctional industry which has become a huge business that relies on the same principles. Let's face it! Our system is corrupt, works well for them and I don't see any change coming soon. Why should they decriminalise drugs if they are making a bunch of money with the actual circumstances? Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Portugal have a different justice system and their jails serve a different purpose. Jail in the states are assets vs a liability for most other countries.

I'm glad to see that many of you support the cause. As most of us know, the name "marijuana" came from "marihuana" that originated in Mexico. It is only fair that Mexico gives it's people back it's people's right to have cannabis. That asshole Harry J. Anslinger turned our medicine into 'the most dangerous drug' available to man. We all know that it was only for political and financial gain, not only that, the N American population was almost completely racist toward Mexicans. Aslinger turned hemp into marijuana which was only associated to Mexicans and then to jazz playing blacks. What better way to get rid of minorities and make a shit load of money? Anyway, thank god that Mexico is telling N America to fuck off; we deserve to have our ritual herb as it is natural and medicinal... no matter how or why you use it, it will help you out in some way. If you are lazy by nature, do not use your common sence, or your mind and/or body cannot withstand this narcotic, stay away. As for the rest of us, it's a blessing, I suffer from moderate chronic back pain and could easily get a mes card but why should it be that way? MJ belongs to the world and not to the few that regulate it, sell it to us, and then fuck us over.

Come the fuck on, I've seen enuf meth monkeys as it is, make it ok for them to do what they do and they could blow their house up without anny worry and the problem here is
that meth monkey could be your neighbor, makes bad for you.
I had a crack head for a neighbor once and I had to fight him I dont know how many times, he tried to get in my house 4 times, did once,
fucked with my cars, then I found someone dumb enough to buy my house.
I hate that MJ is illegal but it seriously doesn't bother me, maybe because I've never been buested for anything like that but still.

I don't consider Marijuana to be a "drug" it is a fucking plant, if it's a drug then so is tobacco, make it illegal as well, others can smoke it around me and damage my health, how is that all fair???

Anyway, Mexican cops are far more ruthless than N American cops and all units roll with fully auto weapons. Doesn't that tell you something on how they enforce law? Ok, I agree with you that there will be more addicts but that is a small price to pay to lure the cartels into the light since their demand will be higher. More volume = easier to catch them. I know how bad it is with crackheads, methheads, and herom abusers but if they are using it already, it's only gonna make it easier for the authorities to go deep since people will be a little more trusting due to lax laws. Anyway, I don't lake anything that isn't just MJ but I agree with the new law as it will destroy the fuckers that poison our streets even if they make a few dollars before they get caught.

Acutually my friend read a little about xtc, if you are taking it assuming, its so hard not to get dirty shit (Ive taken something that brought the real asshole in me out once, it was suppose to be xtc but wasnt anyway), it makes you more empathic and symphetic to people, I dont rave I chill at home and am really relaxed on it, nothing like speed, I've done coke, crack, and Adderall so I know speed is fun and dandy but it's not a healthy line of fun (xtc included and more so), I also haven't done it in over 2 years now and only 7 or 8 times in my life.
I see where your going that they can catch the real problem, but seriously the real problem I have here is CHILDREN are going to pay. There will be new plp coming to addiction since it's no longer illegal, hell some might even think it's not unhealthy and ok to do (plp are that stupid you know). It's a fucked up thing with the cartels seriously, they are dangerous and I know about cops down that way (not personally thank christ) but we do need to make it so they can't conduct biz in this country and make a profit.
Making Weed legal for personal grow and smoke would do alot to damage that, maybe even make it ok for small dealers to sell a O or 2, fuck I'd pay taxes on my plants if it would make em legal and the cops couldnt take em, I would consider that a insurance policy, in fact I'd get one for em after that, I bet state farm would get into that LOL

Fuck it! People that want to use this shit whether it's legal or not are going to do it. Why cry about it? It's still not legal, it's just decriminalized which means if you get caught, they will take action but not throw your ass in jail. People are aware that they are still under the government's big fat thumb are are getting squeezed. I don't feel like getting caught even though I wont go to jail. Once your in the books, it becomes extremely difficult to have a good life because they will always bring that up, even if you want to get a job, so your still fucked either way but not fucked in the sence that your ass will be bunking with an ass loving homo.

I'm not a big fan of pills at all. Don't like them for "true" medical reasons nor just for kicks. But to each their own i guess.
I'm curious to see just how many more poor people from Mexico are going to be mules now?
Nothing better than seeing a single mom of 5 strung up and beaten like a pinata in a bowdertown house over a bad drug deal. Then again, it may helps those wishing to be a mule realize it's not all fun and games.
