Would your plan be similar for a photoperiod?Thank you. To be clear, I am a beginner. A lot of people make specific soil mixes that I am sure may be better and track pH and ppm. I am trying to avoid adding too many variables and just find a base formula that works without too much hassle. I plan to tweak it for each new grow sticking to organic grows.
Right now I'm thinking:
1. FFOF/Perlite (70/30) mix in 5 gallon rain science bag (I like them)
2. 4 tbsp of 4-6-3 Dr Earth Tomato at end of week 4
3. 4 tbsp of 3-9-4 Dr Earth Bloom at end of week 5 and 2 tbsp at end of week 7
5. Epsom foilage spray at the end of week 3, 4, & 5
6. Worm Casing/Molasses tea at the end of week 3, 5, 7, 9, 11
7. Trying to keep environment temp 72-78F & Humidity 45-55%
Water sticking to just tap bubbling in a 5 gallon bucket for feeding (with 1 tbsp of Mosquito bits in the bucket).
Primarily the only change I'm planning for next grow is adding the tea feed every two weeks to see effects.
Honestly it is my plan to start a photo soon.Would your plan be similar for a photoperiod?
Ya man just started some autos and I was thinking since repotting it would cut out a couple feedings I’m sure the tea will help also yeah I’ll take some pics tonight it’s been one week from sprout and I’m following your grow to a T hahaha I want it simple and simple is safe especially for a beginner learn as we go!Honestly it is my plan to start a photo soon.
I was going to start next in this tent but because of a quirk of fate I adopted another auto from a friend who over planted - so I'm going to finish her out in here.. I talk about it here Grow 1.5 Diary and have another one going here 2nd Grow Diary
But my next start from seed will definitely be photo which I'm very excited about.
I have some Pacific NW Roots seeds and FatCat Labs seeds that are regular photos I'm dying to drop.
Honestly my plan is to start them in the exact same KISS organic way.
Since transplanting isn't as much a concern with photos, i'll start them in solo cups and probably add some mycos in the seed hole and in the transplant hole when i move them to their 5 gallon home for a strengthened root system.
What I need to learn are more advanced training techniques like "topping" which apparently works well for photos and the right time to change the light hours and "flip" them. I suppose if it was going to be a longer grow period for photos maybe there's a little more Dr Earth Amendments & teas to feed.
If you start a grow journal for your photos i would love to follow along!
Congrats man what was the end yield?Date: 4/11/21 (End of Week 15)
RH: 55%
Temp: 75F
Notes:
OK drying in the pot turned out fine. I came back from out of town and cut her down and hung her for a couple more days to get her done. Trimmed her up and it was an overall positive experience - now it's time for the next one!

I think it was 3+ ounces but I'll check a little later for a better numberCongrats man what was the end yield?
How does it smell??I think it was 3+ ounces but I'll check a little later for a better number
Smells good. I did the pot dry because I was going out of town and didn't want it to dry to fast. But I stopped watering her and put her in the dark for ten days. Temp was 72F and humidity 55%. When I got back I cut her and hung her for two days and she was pretty much perfect. After the trim she was right about RH 55% in the Jar before the boveda packs were added. How does it smell??
I live in a low humidity environment and I am thinking of drying in the pot in addition to a whole tree hang to slow it down. How long do this whole process take?
Thank you...been following this thread to see how it turned out. Nice work!Smells good. I did the pot dry because I was going out of town and didn't want it to dry to fast. Thanks it was really buddhabudz that suggested drying in the pot to slow drying when it can't be monitored. But overall this was a great first grow. My second has already had a few bumps I'm going to have to compensate for - since I wasnt able to do LST early on.Thank you...been following this thread to see how it turned out. Nice work!
