Mini gro op, 6 mini plants, 1 100W HPS - turn out?

I've collected dozens of seeds during my smoking career, all brand name of course- I decided to finally put some in the ground. So I germ 6 seeds hoping to get 2 females that i can grow into full plants. Grow gets off to a good start, and they start to sex around 5wks @ 16" tall. I notice two of them with pistils and think, 'Oh cool! I have two females'. As it turns out, all 6 of them f%#!ers are females! I felt as though killing 4 of them off would be wasting the luck I was given, so I grow all 6 of em. Only problem is I only have the one ballast (self-wired) for a 100W HPS. I start flowering @ 18"- 6 wks in, afraid that 6 large plants would overwhelm my puny light.

I am now 5 weeks into flowering, and on average the trichomes are about 50/50 (half clear, half cloudy) with virtually no amber. The plants have only gotten an inch or two taller each since i began flowering. I have no C02 input for the plants beside sitting up there with them for about 2 hours every day, and im not burning candles up there or any dumb S%!t like that. I foliage feed once a week with a very diluted water/ Tiger Bloom mix (about 25%) and alternate between regular water and 40% strength TB every 5 days (the reason its every 5 is b/c they are sitting in about 12 gallons of soil and it stays wet for quite a while). PH is at a constant 6.7-6.8 thanks to dolomite lime, and the only issue i had with the plants was a Calcium def in one which i quickly solved with ground eggshell. As for lighting I keep the light about 4'' from the tops of the plants, with a fan blowing across the tops. Humidity was around 45 with temps @ 85, it has dropped to 20 @ 70 with the weather.

You're probably wondering why Im telling you all of this, and the reason is I feel like the plants are not producing as much or as quickly as they should and I do not know why. I've already come to understand these plants will need to flower a little longer than most because of the low amount of light and available C02, but based on the trichomes I would say the plants are more than half way done. What do you think? What do you think the yield will be? Eyeballing it all now I'd say I'm right around 50 grams. When should I plan on harvesting?IMAG0099.jpgIMAG0101.jpgIMAG0092.jpg

I think they look great. Maybe 3-4 weeks from harvest IMO.

Can we get some more pics? All of them in there together maybe? Great job so far.

100w is similar consumption to running a computer.... Looks pretty tasty to me. Just be patient, look out for trich's, and enjoy toke'n!

If you have them producing that nice, juicy, tasty, scrumpchiliolicious looking nuggs out of 100wHPS, Im thinkn, GOOD JOB...

I know a guy, who knows a guys cousins best friend, who has a 175wMH, and a 100wHPS, just nice to see what can be done.....

I can't guess a yield yet but they are doing well, just be patient. Keep us updated.
Will do, and thanks for the feedback guys- good to see I'm on the right track. If these results are untypical for a small 100W grow then I MUST be doing something right! ha

This coming week is the last week for nutes (aside from one additional foliage nute feed) before i begin to flush the plants. I am a firm believer in the true quality of the weed being in the taste and pleasure of the smooth smoke, so I'm not gonna risk any nutes being left unflushed even if i have to flush for 5 weeks. One question though, I've not had experience flushing- could anyone elaborate on that? Much appreciated.

Personally I think 5 weeks would be a little extreme. Most people suggest 2 weeks before chopping. I dont flush as its a outside grow, its been getting flushed all week so far. MotherNature can be a bitch.

Right, I was exaggerating a little :P just showing how much i care about that clean smoke. Still need to know the specifics on what im supposed to do for flushing though if someone's willing to share...

Got some eye candy for ya, my little LED scope fits perfectly to my phone cam... here's the trichs up close on the most mature plant (first to start budding, biggest buds) ... And as you can see there's several cloudy head and about the same number of clear ones.IMAG0103.jpgIMAG0102.jpg

I agree, but flushing for five weeks is just ridiculous. You will be shorting your plant much needed nutrients during the time (late flower) when it packs on most of it's real weight. You only need to flush for the last week or two.

Also... took a look at the trichs again today, and a few of the plants are 100% cloudy, the rest are about 80-90% couldy, 20-10% clear. At this rate I am expecting to harvest about two weeks from today, their last nute feed (watering and spray) will be tomorrow morning, and then its flush from there on out.

One question- How often should I be flushing them and with how much water?

Thanks.IMAG0115.jpg

To anyone following this, I cut down the first girl cause she was root locked in her tiny pot. Looks like about 8 maybe 9 grams once it's dried, she is plenty purple. Also, to check out the course of the grow I've quite the extensive album going.

Bump meh! I want people to see what can be done with such little lighting and funding! (I've spent $70 on this grow- $25 ballast, $15 Tiger Bloom, $5 Soil, $5 Dolomite Lime, $10 Ph^ and containers, $10 Flouro bulbs. Free HPS bulb!)

Stoked to Toke! :D

Side note- Looks like about 60 grams of overall weight so far... Hoping for 80!
