Hey, I'm a Catholic. We have Icons we pray to for intersessions with Jesus. We kneel, stand and sit during church services. We cross ourselves continuely. We wear Saint Christopher medals or Crusifixes around our necks. We go to confession and admit our transgressions to another human being (a Priest) who then gives us absolution from our sins. The Priests, for purification, spread smoke from incense all around during church services. On Ash Wednesday, the priests mark crosses made with ashes on our foreheads. During Mass, the priest blesses the wine and the bread and turn them into the blood and flesh of Jesus and we drink it and we eat it. We talk a lot about The Holy Ghost. We believe that the Father (God), the Son (Jesus), and The Holy Ghost (Spirit of God), are all one and the same. We believe in Angels and Saints. We believe that our's is the one true church ... and that the apostile Peter was the first Pope. We believe that one can attain the State of Grace right here on earth. We believe that Jesus was sent here by The Father and died for all mankind. We believe that Jesus is the gate-keeper, and the only way to attain salvation is to go through Jesus.
I would think that all that stuff would seem kinda weird to non-Catholics and non-believers.
