Why does the op need to hide it, you guys are a joke. Why cant he go to the smoking area and medicate? because others dont like it? well, thats why theres a smoking area...because others dont like it. Things are evolving and there isnt much you can do, your child will smell marijuana as it is a child so dont fool yourself. If your a marijuana user, your kid by the age of 8-10 will know exactly what your doing they are smarter then you think. This isnt even what the arguement was about but just like the quality posts that happen around it went all fucky. So lets get back to it, this mans rights were violated. If you believe being discreet is the law, your wrong. If you believe common courtesy is the law, your wrong. This man had documentation that the federal government put in place and YRPS did not recognize it. He was detained and held, he has been to court 4-5 times for something that is not illegal. If i was in this situation i would feel cornered like an animal, absolutely nobody to turn to. The people ment to protect you are the ones wrongfully trying to punish you. So this guy has nobody to turn to and turns to a open forum of canadian patients and he gets shit on. Round of applause.

He did nothing wrong and even asked security who agreed it was okay. Anyway we did this dance already and mojo doesn't agree.

as for smoking coigs, under 18 u cannot enter a smoking room if they even have them anymore, its a law you can be charged smoking in a car with kids. so hippy smarten the fuck up and give ur head a shake. no were does your lic allow you to smoke weed out side! in the privacy of your own home you can smoke and fuck who you want (gb)

a ton more drinking in front of the kids goes on in homes pretty much anywhere and everywhere...
most of it done without any regard to the kids present.
matter of fact.... kids in that scenario...are seeing things that would make a lot of adults cringe...
Most of these kids by a certain age, will also be able to discern which product (booze or pot) has the bigger effect
on the adults around them....in regards to the negative outcomes they produce.
I will go out on a limb here and say...kids in that situation are more likely to either not partake at all...or to smoke weed...
though they have experimented with both.
They also will retain vivid memories....of the things they have seen...so you young parents out there....take note....

The couple lawyers I have called didn't do pro-bono. Would be awesome if anyone could give me the name of a lawyer who would do this as the ones I have spoken with just told me their retainer fee and hourly rate. I'm really considering just paying one of them for the hourly rate to write a letter
My anxieties leave me quieter than a mouse in many instances. this was no exception. I remained quiet and did as they asked, when they asked. My good behahaviour was made known to the YRP from CW Security and the whole time I was in with YRP I was in the holding cell. not much to do other then sit and wait in there.

have addressed this many times now... INSIDE the park I was told I was okay to smoke there. OUTSIDE the park I was given a hard time solely because it was a different officer. So this is rather confusing to anyone. I was told where I could medicate (inside smoking section) and when I was outside the park with no one near me everyone believes I was not being discreet enough. No one smelt it or complained. The security officer just saw us walking up the hill while observiong the lot and came over to check out what was happening. As for my friend being with me. It's not like I'm about to tell him to go away from me while I medicate. he has a right to be in the same vicinity as I was.

Id also call the human right of canada and explain the situation they will open a file for sure.

Defnitely would like to get some sort of professional write up in regards to this although my ability to articulate myself isn't the greatest and my thoughts are rather jumbled. trying to get some help in regards to this. Definitely will be calling he Human Rights of Canada.

I respect the same rules in regards to smoking and I try to be courteous in regards to smokign around others as i recognize that not everyone approves of strong smells, of any kind. That being said my situation isn't exactly ideal. Everyone tells me to smoke in my car, or not in public. Unfortunately for me it seems, I take public transit everywhere so the car is not an option. that plus the fact that I am out ~10 hours a day I do find myself needing to medicate in public. try to be discreet but there is only so much I can do.
